# **New Channel – New Content – New(found) Knowledge**

Nexus 3.0 – A nexus is a focal point of convergence. In this case, the point of convergence is that of knowledge and information in, ironically, an increasingly decentralised world. The numbers 3.0 are derived from Web 3.0 – the third stage of the internet which is often referred to as the decentralised web.

Nexus 3.0 is an educational initiative analysing Web 3.0 concepts that are short and simple to understand. Ever wondered what Bitcoin is? What the heck is Blockchain? The Internet of Things? I can help.

Here at Nexus 3.0, I will condense complicated concepts into simple and easy to follow guides. There are a few guides (series) that will be released over the coming weeks. These are the proposed series so far:

- **'Understanding Blockchain’** guide is a series of articles that condense and explain the many different concepts of Blockchain Technology such as mining, DAO’s, NFT’s, nodes, gas, keys, smart contracts and much, much more – we’re discussing every instrument that drives this enormous machine.

- A **‘Summarising Legal Concepts’** series will further increase your knowledge on the position of the law in relation to decentralised technology. Why Blockchains need to care about DMCA requests, how LBRY manages to contain legal liability on the Blockchain, how the Ocean Protocol can trade data while safeguarding privacy, and other interesting articles. Furthermore, we will also discuss LBRY and Ripple’s current proceedings with the SEC and how that might affect the industry at large.

- A **‘Protocol Spotlight’** series will introduce you to some of the most game changing networks and explain exactly how they work. Monero’s privacy, Polkadot’s Parachains and other exciting projects.

- A **‘News’** series will highlight policy changes that will have a significant impact on Web 3.0 protocols and companies. These posts will summarise the latest developments in the law and how they might affect various entities in the industry.

Nexus 3.0 is not a financial or politically affiliated channel; the purpose is solely on education about the technology. The focus is on how we can grow Web 3.0 from the ground up. What does this mean? It means we will not be discussing whether Shiba Inu coin is going to hit $1 by the end of the year. Although unlikely, if Shiba Inu does create great technology akin to that of Ethereum – it will surely warrant an article on Nexus. When discussing law, politics naturally implicates itself. However, politics will never be the focal point of a discussion.

**Note:** In the spirit of encouraging the adoption of a decentralised future, Nexus 3.0 will be exclusive to the LBRY protocol and dApps created on LBRY.
