# Nerd Delegation Proposal #1 (NDP1) ## //Introduction This is the first funding disbursment proposal for the NerdOS delegation. As stated on our [genesis post](https://ataxia123.github.io/nerddao/blog/Nerd-OS) we are a post-work collective of nerds creating fun things using EthereansOS. Our experience with this delegation is meant to serve as a proof that resources can be managed collectively to pay for work while being accountable to a collective of holders in a trustless manner, opposed to working for an individual or a legacy corporate structure. The NerdOS Delegation is pleased to present this proposal for covering expenses related to our ongoing projects and initiatives. The plan can be broken down into several components for success to see through projects that NERD OS takes on. It would cover the following: - Developer Rates - Tools - Sponsorships - Audits ## //Motivations The goal of the delegation structure is to provide an accountability layer to funds assigned to a group of people. As a delegation host my role is to communicate with voters and provide all the information necessary to secure a positive vote and obtain the funds allocated for the delegation. We are building an oragnizational framework to enable all contributors to have a clear pathway to getting paid for their work. Our current structure is compensating retroactively work already done. Every member has contributed to this proposal with information pertaining their area of work. ![](https://i.imgur.com/AbajmHA.png) ## //Specifications ### Developer Report: ### Scaffold-ETHOS Project We've created a Scaffold-Eth fork which is a public goods repository to help rapid-prototype various blockchain-based applications. The goal was to take the extensive contracts of EthOS and put them into a scaffold build so that people can create Covenants on EthOS's main website, then use our repo to design their own farming page quickly, run the build, and host their farming page on their own site. After this is accomplished, we would apply to get on the show-and-tell Friday stream for Scaffold-Eth to showcase what we made to other developers, which will hopefully increase developer engagement with EthOS, and ultimately create more farms and ease of use for users across a variety of different incentivized farms. The deliverables for said project are: - Open sourced polished frontend - Tutorial Video - Commented code - Example live Project We have currently completed around 70% of the work required to complete the project specifications. Further work will be required after the main objectives are met for styling and UX improvements. [GITHUB REPOSITORY](https://github.com/scaffold-eth/se-2/compare/master...NERDDFO:Scaffold-EthOs:master) ## //Community Strategy We implemented a marketing strategy that included: - An average of 4 posts per day + 1 thread per week. - Additionally we included tweets and threads that come out of what happens on a daily basis or based on what could be relevant. - Creation of nerdworking event (sessions to talk about nerdy stuff, for the moment we are still working on inviting more people). - Creation of secret santa event (a christmas exchange of NFTs). - Proposal communication strategy and branding plan. - The results obtained were measured through KPIs: ⁃ For Twitter: ⁃ Tweet Activity: 97 (+300%) ⁃ Tweet Impressions: 7,418 ⁃ Mentions: 693 (+60%) ⁃ Profile visits: 1,726 ⁃ New followers: 25 ⁃ The new recurring events for the community (nerd working and secret santa): ⁃ Increased the attendees from 2 to 10. ⁃ Brand perception: ⁃ Strategy of branding is completed. ⁃ Sponsoring a video game content creator that shares a niche with our community (to do). ⁃ We will conduct surveys to obtain feedback from the community on these actions (to do). In total 160 hours were worked (4 hours per day). The budget covers jacamein.eth compensation + funds to implement strategies developed in the previous period. ## // Audits We have been working with Majesty.eth to provide smart contracting integration assitance and reviewing our code to optimize the implementation of the EthereansOS codebase. The code review included several sessions of consultancy with their smart contract integration develpment team. ## //Financial Plan To sufficiently operate we plan to use 7 of the 17 Eth that has already been delegated to the Organization. This is to pay team members. Rates are on market and fairly distributed to all members on chain.
