# Lit! ## FAC Week 1 Tony, Andy, Leonie and Georgia --- # Goals - Have a website that works 👍 - Learn to make changes in a team using git + github - We did both of these  --- # Stretch Goals - Email checker with second email confirmation - 3 distinct media queries - Have some cool javascript - Run regex validations against email (We didn't get to any of these stretch goals 😔)  --- # What weren't we happy about it - Hero image and text overlay + positioning - Hint: don't use a fixed image with set lines and try and build text over it. It's hard 😭 - Text overflowing in containers because of pixel use and fixed sixed containers - Confused ourselves with class names + h1/h2 - Hint: define your class names or a convention and hieracrhy first --- # What we are happy about - Colour theme/style - Layout (sort of) - General design #fancy  --- # What we learned - Using issues for specific things and closing them with commits e.g. micro-tasks - Resolving merge conflicts in the same file - Remembering that the media query related to the desktop view not mobile view (because mobile first) 🙄 --- - Using rem/em rather than pixels - [The normalise css sheet](https://necolas.github.io/normalize.css/)  --- # Overall - We worked really well together - We all still like each other - We all understand git better - We were all willing to try things and fail as it meant we learnt a lot - And our website works! 😎 --- # Thank You!
