# Overview
The main purpose of this document is to map a plan for Winding Tree, during a period where there is limited funds, time and also as a community that is losing faith in the project and team. At this stage I propose to focus on the 3 key parts that provide the foundations for the ecosystem:
• The protocol – Videre/WT protocol
• Profile/DiD/ORGiD – webpage (direct booking page with protocol built in)
• Booking site – webpage/channel to access inventory.
To compliment the above, various campaigns will be initiated with community, with focus on building a DAO and providing attractive campaigns in the form of WIPs to help grow community and engage in platform growth.
WT was started to solve the problem of how inventory was distributed... not how it was paid for. Moving forward, under no circumstances would inventory from providers like Amadeus be listed on the marketplace. Focus is on what we set out to do, ensuring that a p2p type network/connection provides the back bone for the ecosystem.
# The Plan
## Protocol
P2P using waku as relay protocol. The protocol would also be compatible and talk to PMSs to ensure real time and confirmed bookings. Kostya is extremely competent at web3/smart contracts design and will be able to work with the wider community to deliver a finished product (it is important that he stays in role). There are no real showstoppers for the protocol which is a vital part of the ecosystem. Key relationships within the community will be drawn upon to ensure a maximum amount of resource from the community talent pool is commited to devoplopment.
## Profile/DiD/ORGiD
Profile/DiD/ORGiD - We are creating the one stop shop booking platform. The place to go for the same price you would if you’d gone directly to the vendor. To this note in the current landscape vendors have an associated cost with hosting their own website and booking platform. We would offer a free solution for providers which allows them to effectively create a direct booking site (cost saving for the vendor). It also provides the backbone for the ORGiD/DiD (identity) and aims to make it overall adoption more user friendly.
The plan is to put a WIP out into the community that would form the basis of a community campaign to onboard vendors to ORGiD – (see WIPs below).
Inventory would be uploaded to said profile and API connections to platforms like Airbnb can make page building easier.
## Booking site
Booking site – build off/utilise win.so/glider, with fiat option being a necessity.
## WIPs
WIPs – naturally these form the basis of any DAO. One of the first WIPs I would propose, lays out the terms for a community campaign for onboarding vendors. This seeks to provide an attractive proposition for the community to go out and onboard and receive a referral fee. I propose that to become an affiliate for the onboarding LIF would need to be staked and a smaller stake for each onboarded vendor could be explored.
Another WIP relates to establishing a treasury fee in a region/city where there is a charitable/eco cause that capitalised on and an agreed % on each booking donated to. The main purpose of this would be to onboard the majority of a destination with the ongoing charity fee helping PR and growing the platform.
While the platform will be open to any destination, we should focus our energies on certain destinations when in early stages and building out. An advantage of this would be the cheaper marketing costs (location specific) when it comes to driving traffic to the booking site and a better choice of inventory to attract travellers.

Source of Funding
At this stage our main vaildator on whether we can succeed longterm is being able to secure funding. In order to attarct funds the project needs to undergo a real Phoenix moment, w~~here after the shake up a new energy and direction can be applied. With a new team (and one formed from the community) WT can attract funds with investors drawn on this appeal.
The other key thing for securing, is that people have a reason to buy LIF. WIPs are vital at these early stages and woukd *~~
# Roadmap (draft / TBC)
Q1 – Work on protocol, Work on ORGiD/DiD solution (key for onboarding), WIPs for onboarding campaign launched, with WIP on treasury fee for charity following up (location shortlist). ORGiD/DiD solution complete> Campaign starts
Q2 – WIP location decision with worthwhile charitable cause earmarked, Protocol complete, onboarding campaign for earmarked region and fund.
The Path Forward
# Tokenomics
LIF main utility, especially in the early stages will be as a governance token. It still has a role with staking for spam prevention on ORGid and staking relevant to waku (in protocol) also. The token would also play a key role with an onboarding campaign, hosting a stake for the affiliate programme. If there is an appetite within the community, LIF can be used as a form of payment and also to incentivise platform usage during the growth stages.
As the ecosystem grows, so will the utility of the token. There have been some interesting ideas within the community that will be explored and adopted if they align with the DAO principles.
# Relationships
I have formed strong relationships with key members of the community and a top CEX that I would harness.
There are also relationships with top travel brands that need to be explored to see how we can list branded inventory on the marketplace and form a strategic partnership. The same goes with making marketplace inventory available to the EY traffic.
# Funding
Securing funding is critical to success. A phoenix event where there is a shake up with the management, a new approach to execution, transparency and focus on forming a DAO will help deliver value to the token and in turn attract investors. The community have been clear in their disappointment on various levels and a complete refresh on the top level is needed to help restore faith and to rebuild relations.
# Conflicts of Interests
Both Max & Pedro are co-owners and shareholders of Simard. With Simard going through a period of funding, these conflicts are exaggerated with attention being on profit as opposed to delivering value directly to token holders. *To be clear from WT side, any changes would not stop Simard from fulfilling its commitment to the WT ecosystem.
