# IEEE NPSS School on Advanced Topics in PET/CT and PET/MR - Thailand 2023 - Extra information
Welcome to the HackMD pages for the [NPSS school on Advanced Topics in PET/CT and PET/MR](https://indico.cern.ch/event/1209524/)!
These pages contain information on how to prepare for the image reconstruction workshop, which is also useful for the AI workshop.
The image reconstruction and AI parts will use Python, in the form of Jupyter notebooks running in the cloud. You will need to register for an account **before** the school (information to follow soon). Please prepare with some of the material provided here.
Please note that these pages do not cover all of information for the training school!
## School schedule
Please [visit the official school page](https://indico.cern.ch/event/1209524/timetable/#20230127).
Please note that we will have a Technical Support session before the school for setting up participants for the image reconstruction workshop, see details below. It is recommend to join this if you can.

**Important** You will create your own password, please **write it down** as we will not be able to change it.
Go to our training platform on [https://training.jupyter.stfc.ac.uk](https://training.jupyter.stfc.ac.uk) (first sign-up, then sign-in. Note that the first sign-in will take a few minutes as your instance is being created). Then follow the instructions in the [JupyterHub section on the Technical support page ](https://hackmd.io/G5ewa8WuTCGuNIexCydxqw?view#Jupyterhub-and-SIRF-Exercises).
Note that the first time that you log-in, you might see some open notebooks that were used for testing. Just close them!
### Get to know the software
* It is highly recommended to get yourself somewhat familiar with Python and Jupyter notebooks. Look through the [Supporting Material page](https://hackmd.io/jcjiWclaTDaQzhPzgKYJog?view) for relevant links.
