## Break (15 mins)
## Summary of work done since re-start in Nov 2022
### Status and next steps:
| Activity | Notes |
| -------- | -------- |
| [course mapping](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1F3BgEPL6HGuUVEzuIk-ZEPLHBVolpLKrjT6kWMYxOzs/edit#gid=1283479062)| Done when EvoBio and AIDA has completed the list |
| [administrative tasks wishlist](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1l9iRgGX88AlisVXHbPD2sSh08tQ52P-2a4Uv4SMxwE8/edit?usp=drive_link) | TrCs will meet with NBIS admin team 20/6 |
| [Restructuring of NBIS Training GDrive](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B02EyQCDX5qxUG5kX1prMFdISTg?resourcekey=0-YBYqnDQfbH5eLissSmbcw) | done |
| [onboarding procedure](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ooCAWmrywCn2QYhv1m3Wtiso_N5q2-q6SWpIwLqXp7c/edit?usp=sharing) draft presentation: [here](https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1c7Y-OJ2Wt4I75DKVmJWwrbAmvJsq1oJZXFK5Cvybz1Q/edit#slide=id.g23cc2eb384d_0_115) | slides need improvement |
|[training presentation for courses](https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1iqkGZcQQW2ih0ksa4-DxoITAFU88l7Ry/edit?usp=drive_link&ouid=100148666765873083737&rtpof=true&sd=true) | The presentation is done. **To do**: 1. Figure out how to make sure it's kept up to date with the NBIS standard presentation, should it live in the outreach-repo for example? 2. Announce it to course leaders to include it in their upcoming courses.
## Reflections of ways of working
Silent documentation of the TrSG work, what works well and what doesn't
### Monthly meetings (time, frequency, length, content etc.)
- freq + length (i.e, not longer, not more often)
- practical work in smaller groups was productive :+1:
- 15 min break seems a bit long sometimes
- Maybe shorter meeting with focusing on just the points that needs addressing at the time -> more focused.
- more active participation would be nice ☺️
**todo:** consider having shorter meetings, or schedule 2 h but finish earlier if not needed. Discuss/vote on this at an upcoming meeting
### Communication & Documentation (HackMD vs GDocs, Trello?, Slack etc.)
- HackMD is atypical but works well in the sense that it's very self-contained
**todo:** consider the long-term availabity of HackMD documents. Tied to a person, how to make sure nothing is lost. For GDrive there is a procedure for this. Make sure it exists for HackMD as well
### Topics worked on (see summary above)
- Good selection of things which will benefit from the improvements
-
### Other points
- Is it clear what the role of TrSG is?
notes from dicussion: It is not 100% clear. The ambition from TrCs is that the onboarding to training of team members should help clarify this and also what the purpose of different roles are. A related comment was regarding the Training meeting, that few NBISers showed up, might be explained by the uncertainty about purpose and audience of the meeting.
### Suggestions moving forward (topics to focus on, new ways of working etc.)
- ELIXIR: learning paths, training collections, lesson templates? To keep in mind if there is interest.
- Training Hub? Nothing to impact NBIS in the near future, but aim to help with processes in the long run.
## AOB
- Course calendar: to whom and why is it useful? Would it be impossible to consider removing it?
- keep spreadsheet which contains more information
- use NBIS_Internal_Events calendar to indicate when courses will take place (with a prefix "prel:" in the planning phase)
- remove NBIS course calendar (INTERNAL)
- don't add to NBIS events
- update instructions
