No - As of 28th January, course advertisements moved from SciLifeLab events to [SciLifeLab Training Portal](https://training.scilifelab.se/events) - [Instruction](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NJmxyAveV-9bUrGN0ztyITvLyfzAJW26/edit#bookmark=kix.aq378ov076f4) for CLs has been updated. - As before, the NBIS courses will also continue to be advertised via the SciLifeLab Slack and newsletter, Elixir TeSS https://tess.elixir-europe.org/events and NBIS Training webpage https://nbis.se/training . - Summary from Training-Manager meeting - TrSG work - Training pages at NBIS.se - [Teaching literature club](https://nbisweden.github.io/teaching_literature_club/) - Quality and Impact assessments - New avenues to advertise NBIS courses - New courses that could be added to the catalogue - Topics for internal NBIS training - Promote collaborations through courses with DDLS, WASP fellows ![image](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/Bk4MpaOtJe.png) ![image](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/Bk9066_t1e.png) ![image](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/ByHXCaOtJe.png) ## Information from NBIS TrLs | Team | Notes | | -------- | -------- | | Advisory Program| | | AIDA | | | BIIF | We are looking into publishing and making FAIR our teaching material | | Cell & molecular biology| | | Data Management | New video for NGS lite on metadata being prepared, DM unit training strategy: https://doi.org/10.17044/scilifelab.27606417.v3 | | EvoBio | | | Health and Clinical | ML Biostats 1 is the first to be advertised via Training Hub. Biomarker course now set in late October, room booked in Solna. | | Microbiology, Immunology and Structural Biology |New course in metabolomics being set up, probably next year| | Systems development | Half of the Sysdev team has participated the FitSM workshop | | UPPMAX/SCoRe|Setting up NAISS-wide courses, making course material FAIR| - AC: Will there be a structure for webinars? - EK: This seems indeed to be more common, so we should consider adding this - AC: Would this be worth it? - AC + EK: this is an open question :-) - EK: depends on the form of the webinar too; it needs to be considered training, i.e. have, among others, learning outcomes - AC: we consider doing training afterwards, still thinking about this - EK: AIDA Data Hub has similar things, called 'online workshops', maybe the should be included in the structures too - L: BIIF has many workshops, maybe they could add a survey link? There is a bit of overlap between AIDA Data Hub and BIIF - NS: creating a webinar is easier; a full course costs more preparation time - EK: some things indeed take more time to learn, hence a course would be appropriate. For 'simple'/'single-topic' things, a webinar could be feasible --- ## Short term feedback template review (RB) - [Presentation](https://nbisweden.github.io/elixir_evaluation_evaluation/presentations/) (link to video will be updated soon) - [Question form](https://forms.gle/5A5JUssebL6NUZTw7) - [Paper](https://nbisweden.github.io/elixir_evaluation_evaluation/) ## Short break ## Follow up on Training Meeting HT2024 (TrC) - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Fsu4ORB21RYvZyT8Ku0PcQCflaPQKAyYUGZ8gl2XlCA/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.jhoyril9zglx - [ ] For us: List advertisement channels, encourage course leaders to share these, so others can use these channels too ## AOB - (Agus from BIIF) This meeting conflicts with the BIIF Group Meeting, which I can catch up on via the minutes.
