> ### Training-specific information
> In a training onboarding meeting organised by the training liaison within the first month of employment:
>
> - Go through the responsibilities of the different roles in NBIS training - Course leader, teacher/TA, Training Liaison, Training Coordinator.
> - Go through the technical/administrative structure of NBIS training
> - Inform about Training GDrive
> - Inform about CANVAS
> - Encourage new employee to join the #training Slack channel.
> - NBIS-wide training meeting Q2 and Q4
> - Ask about prior experience in training and general interest in teaching
> - Highlight courses and training activities in the team
> - Review the NBIS training catalogue together, and discuss which courses could be relevant to engage in.
To do:
- Compile a list of team members that needs onboarding
- Set up grouped or individual meetings
#### Silent documentation: What support do you need? (example: presentation, TrC )
- DI: I think that the onboarding document is really helpfull. If the team manager goes through that with the new emploee, it may not be needed to go through a separate meeting for training only. But is it important to identify if the new employee has a strong interest in teaching (or is expected to), in which case one may have a separate discussion, possibly as part of a larger group meeting. Having said that, it may be useful to have a presentation to point to as well, as the onboarding doc is more of "checklist", but does not provide a clear relating among different teams/entities.
- Some visual support for explaining the different roles in NBIS training - who does what?
## Annotation of the Training presentation (continued)
Collaboratively creating/designing a mini-presentation about NBIS to be included in all courses (a subset of NBIS standard presentation)
