# AirLink Baggage Policy and Allowance 20 kilogrammes in Economy Class and 30 kg in Business Class are the standard free luggage allowances for Airlink flights for each adult passenger. Children and infants are entitled to the same luggage allowance as adults when they pay at least 75% of the adult price. The suggested weights and sizes for checked luggage are: recommended maximum size 158 cm (62.2 in) length + width + height, limit 203 cm (almost 80 in), advised maximum weight 23 kg (50.7 lbs), and weight limit 32 kg (70.6 lbs). Due to comparable weight restrictions in health and safety standards, the 23 kilogramme limit is in place. ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/HJtP9F7n2.png) ## Airlink Baggage Allowance and Fees Do you intend to use Airlink as your airline? For further details, see the Airlink website.** ## Carry-On Weight Restriction: For carry-on luggage, there is no maximum weight limit. This, however, varies across airports. For further information, go to the Airlink website. ### Checked Baggage According to information on the Airlink official website, https://flyairlink.com/, Airlink may charge certain additional fees for excess luggage in addition to the most typical domestic travel prices. Between journeys, this could change. For further details, see the Airlink website. ### Excess Baggage When using Airlink, separate excess baggage fees are charged for each time your size, weight, and quantity restrictions are exceeded. This changes often according on location. Visit the Airlink website for further details and current prices. ### Special Items On Airlink flights, a variety of sporting goods and specific luggage are permitted. Some of the goods could qualify as normal checked luggage because of the size of the baggage. Airlink, however, will be regarded as overweight or large objects. As a result, Airlink will impose fees and some limitations. Please go straight to the Airlink website. ## Using Airlink and taking pets with you Pets can be transported on board for $125 one way to/from most locations, including dogs, cats, and domestic birds (birds are only permitted on domestic South African flights). For travel outside of South Africa, there is a $200 cost. The animals must fit within a carrying box, which in turn must fit beneath the front seat. The carrier is considered one piece of carry-on luggage for Airlink.
