# AirLink Baggage Policy and Allowance

20 kilogrammes in Economy Class and 30 kg in Business Class are the standard free luggage allowances for Airlink flights for each adult passenger. Children and infants are entitled to the same luggage allowance as adults when they pay at least 75% of the adult price.

The suggested weights and sizes for checked luggage are: recommended maximum size 158 cm (62.2 in) length + width + height, limit 203 cm (almost 80 in), advised maximum weight 23 kg (50.7 lbs), and weight limit 32 kg (70.6 lbs). Due to comparable weight restrictions in health and safety standards, the 23 kilogramme limit is in place.

## Carry-On Baggage

There isn’t much room in the overhead compartments, thus Airlink travellers flying on flights with 50 or fewer seats are only allowed to bring one personal item with them.

### Excess Baggage

### Special Items

On Airlink flights, a variety of sporting goods and specific luggage are permitted. Some of the goods could qualify as normal checked luggage because of the size of the baggage. ## Using Airlink and taking pets with you
Pets can be transported on board for $125 one way to/from most locations, including dogs, cats, and domestic birds (birds are only permitted on domestic South African flights). For travel outside of South Africa, there is a $200 cost.

The animals must fit within a carrying box, which in turn must fit beneath the front seat. The carrier is considered one piece of carry-on luggage for Airlink.
