# Welcome to WEB3 Education Center (WEC)
The Web3 Education Center (WEC) is a Web3-focused learning initiative by IDNFT and its partners, established within universities that collaborate with us. We actively welcome partnerships with Web3 industries and communities to strengthen education, innovation, and student engagement in the decentralized ecosystem.
## The Story Behind WEC

Since the emergence of Web3 technology in Indonesia, we have recognized the importance of educating the public about Web3 technology and NFTs to prevent scams and shift perspectives beyond short-term profit, focusing instead on maximizing the use of the technology. With this vision, we established IDNFT in 2021 as a non-commercial organization dedicated to Web3 education and adoption. Our team is composed of volunteers with a genuine passion for helping communities, particularly schools and universities accelerate the adoption of Web3. IDNFT operates through sponsorship support and has established formal collaborations with 21 universities across Indonesia. Since its establishment in 2021, IDNFT has launched several key initiatives. In 2022, we introduced the IDNFT Academy, an online educational event focused on NFTs. We have conducted 121 Web3 on Campus sessions programs aimed at promoting and educating about Web3 technology and NFT adoption through talk shows, seminars, and workshops. Additionally, we have organized 36 Temu Web3 events—gatherings and networking sessions held across 11 major cities in Indonesia.
### WEC Program

We provide a space for speakers to share their experiences and knowledge about Web3 technology and projects through seminars, talk shows, and workshops within the scope of education.
2. Guest Lectures Program
Speakers have the opportunity to engage more closely with the audience, while students benefit from gaining deeper, more technical knowledge through this program.
3. Next-Gen Student Club
Activities are conducted through weekly meetups that include interactive discussions, small-scale workshops, motivational talks by industry experts, entrepreneurs, and blockchain practitioners to provide real-world perspectives and inspire student innovation through offline and online.

### The Born of WEC
To implement educational programs on a massive and intensive scale within universities, IDNFT established the Web3 Education Center (WEC) at selected universities in collaboration with various partners. One of our key partners is Sphynx Labs, which shares the same vision and commitment in the field of education.
Our Objectives:
1. To raise awarness and promote the adoption of Web3 technology within universities, targeting both students and lecturers.
2. To facilitate collaboration between students and lecturers in developing monetizable projects, accelerating their understanding of blockchain and Web3 technology, and establishing models for both domestic and international business.
3. To provide access for Web3 industries seeking to establish collaborations with reputable and high-performing universities in Indonesia through educational programs.

# Petra Christian University The First WEC
The WEC program was first established at Petra Christian University (PCU) as a model for other universities in Indonesia. It has received support from the Indonesian Ministry of Creative Industries as a learning reference for Web3 technology, which can be integrated with creative industries such as art and NFTs. We continue to welcome partnerships and collaborations with Web3 industries that wish to grow together with us.

Petra Christian University (PCU) stands out as the only university in Indonesia that actively embraces technological advancements and is fully prepared to implement educational and outreach programs on Web3 technology. Holding the highest national accreditation, “Unggul” (Excellent) from BAN-PT, and with several programs internationally accredited by AQAS, IABEE, AUN-QA, and KAAB, PCU demonstrates a strong commitment to quality assurance. Consistently ranked among Indonesia’s leading universities, it offers comprehensive, industry-relevant programs integrating practical experience with global perspectives, while fostering international collaborations that enable student exchanges, joint research, and cross-cultural learning. PCU’s track record includes more than thirteen consecutive years receiving the Anugerah Kampus Unggulan from LLDIKTI Region VII, alongside awards for anti-intolerance education, anti-bullying and anti-sexual violence initiatives, outstanding MBKM program implementation, and exemplary public relations. Regionally and globally, it is recognized as the top private university in East Java in the QS World University Rankings 2025, ranked #93 in ASEAN and #23 nationally in the QS Asia University Rankings. Several programs—such as Architecture, Accounting, Management, and Communication—hold AUN-QA certification, while others have earned AQAS and IABEE accreditation. Its excellence extends to brand recognition, winning the Jawa Pos “7 Most Popular Brand” Award, and to institutional achievements, with its library being the only one in Surabaya to receive the Indonesia OneSearch Contributor Award. Additionally, the King Sejong Institute Surabaya, managed by PCU in partnership with Dongseo University, earned the Award of Excellence from the King Sejong Institute Foundation in South Korea.

## Our First Event in PCU
The first WEC event was held from July 30 to August 1, 2025, at Petra Christian University (PCU) in the form of a talk show introducing Web3 technology to high school students across Surabaya who plan to enroll at PCU next year. The event was attended by 1,000 students in total (300 students per day)and received an overwhelmingly positive response, especially in terms of their enthusiasm for learning about this emerging technology and the opportunity to have a dedicated learning hub for Web3 in Surabaya. This was evident from the strong interest shown by students in joining the WEC program.

## Collaboration With NOUNS DAO
We are thrilled to join forces with NOUNS DAO in bringing the Web3 Education Center to life at Petra Christian University pioneering a continuous and long-term initiative that will empower students and lecturers with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Web3 and NFTs, shaping the next generation of innovators.

## WEC Room Reconstruction in Progress 🚧✨
The reconstruction of the WEC room is underway, marking the beginning of its transformation into a dedicated space for Web3 education and innovation. We are proud to announce that we have been given a dedicated room at Petra Christian University to share knowledge and experiences about Web3 technology with both students and faculty. While the construction is scheduled to be completed by October–November 2025, WEC activities at PCU have already begun since July 2025.
