# Quick guide for importing a coolors palette
[Coolors](https://coolors.co) is a great website that allows you to interactively create a beautiful and colourblind friendly colour palette for your project. Here's a quick step by step guide to exporting a palette and importing it into Inkscape.
1. Go to [Coolors](https://coolors.co) and create a palette:

2. Click the 'Export' button up in the top right:

3. You should be presented with options (see below), select 'SVG':

4. Save the palette file (svg) to your computer.
5. In Inkscape got to the 'File' menu and select 'import'. Import the palette svg that you just saved from Coolors:

5. You should now see your colour palette in Inkscape. You can use the colour select tool (highlighted in the below image) to select your colours.

6. If you have a shape/text/object selected and then use the colour select tool and click on your colour palette, the selected object will take on that colour.

That is pretty much all there is to it. Hopefully this was helpful.
