# Initial Archeology
## Overview
Adds new content to curator and miner. 3 new machines for curator, a new mining archeology system, and new tools to miner.
## Machines
Used by the curator for restoration of artefacts and refining of gemstones.
1. **Archeology Recovery Machine**: Miners drop off artefacts found in ruins or through archeology. It holds indentified and un-identified artefacts in seperate categories. Researched artefacts placed inside can be purchased by the crew (25% of payment goes to the researcher), or by the researcher (They get a large discount, but all funds go to cargo budget).
2. **Restoration Manifold Device**: Restores and researchers artefacts. Artefacts give research points when fully restored and turn from unidentified into their indentified counterparts.
3. **Industial Grindstone**: Used for grinding gemstones geodes into cut gems. Using it is quick an easy, but requires power and the user to be wearing gloves. Can be emagged to allow the sharpening of sharp objects such as knives.
4. **Primitive Grindstone** (Ghetto Version): A slap dash replacement built in a hurry or when there is no power. Can do everything a Industrial Grindstone can do without power, but takes a while to use. Also has the chance to chip the blade of weapons sharpened using it, requiring another sharpen.
## Archeology
Located with archeological tools, these items are the first implementation and will most likely not effect station balance.
1. **Geodes**: Gemstones (other than diamonds) found throughout lavaland due to its volcanic nature. Their value vary between types. Commonly located via archeology. Uses Gags.
2. **Cut Gemstones**: Gemstones processed either by the curator, or located rarely via archeology. Their value is determined by their type and by their cut. Uses Gags.
## Archeology Tools
Tools needed to locate artefacts and do archeology.
1. **Artefact Scanner**: Pings the environment for artefacts. Once one has been located, it becomes visible to the eye of the user.
2. **Recovery Tools**: A Small pick, hammer and brush for retrieving the artefact.
