# MetaPod Launch Event
The MetaPod Launch Event will be the first IRL experience to kickoff the MetaPod 6-week DAO Accelerator Pilot Program. This first event is a pitch competition for DAO & community focused projects.

Event Date: February 16th, 2022 @ 3:30pm
Location: Woods Boss Brewery (private Lodge Room)
Max Attendance: 100 people (first come)

## Pitch Compeition Requirements
1. Must be attending ETHDenver
2. Must be a DAO / community focused initiative
3. Must have clearly defined goals and a roadmap to accomplish them
4. Must have some of the necessary skills/contributors to support the project

## Competition Flow
2 minute pitch video submission > discord community prescreen event > semifinals - 1 round to pitch IRL > finalists are chosen by judges and audience poll > Finals - a question round based on the pitch > Winners chosen by the Judges and audience based on pitch + responses (top 3 projects) > receive grant money + admission into the MetaPod Pilot Program

## How to Join
1. Complete a form and submit a preliminary 2 minute video pitch by January 31, 2022
2. The top 20 videos will be chosen by the MetaPod DAO
3. The top 20 videos are then voted on by the greater MetaPod community and narrowed down to the top 10.
4. Those chosen top 10 then get to pitch live at ETHDenver for a chance to win up to $10,000 in grant prizes.

1st Place Prize: $10,000
2nd Place Prize: $5,000
3rd Place Prize: $2,500

## Winner Selection

### Discord Event Voting
The preliminaries are handled as follows:
- Discord community votes for top 10 via reaction emojis on posted videos
- all of those that participate will receive a POAP which will give them access to the IRL event and/or exclusive live streaming channel in the MetaPod discord.

### Main Event Voting
The main event is handled as follows:
- Judge panel has 50% voting weight
- Discord community has 50% voting weight
