# **Updating Redirects**

**The task is to update the external links in IndianaJo's blog post.**

### ℹ️ **INSTRUCTIONS**:
### **Step 1:**
**Jo will share a link to a spreadsheet with four columns.**
**Column A: Link to IndianaJo's blog post.**
**Column B: External links requiring updates.**
**Column C: Number of links to be updated.**
**Column D: Status.**

### **Step 2:**
**To edit IndianaJo's blog post, log in to WordPress using the login details provided in the EOM task and Logins under Emily's profile in Chrome.**

### **Step 3:**
**Copy the link in Column A of the spreadsheet and open it in a new tab. Since you are already logged in to WordPress, you should see the option to edit the post.**

### **Step 4:**
**In the blog post, locate the external link specified in Column B of the spreadsheet.**

**You can do this by hovering your mouse over the highlighted words in the blog post and checking the link displayed on the bottom left side of the screen.**

### **Step 5:**
**To update that link, click on "Edit Post."**

**Click on the highlighted word, and the link should appear. Click on that link first, and it will redirect you to the website with the updated URL. Next, copy the updated URL.**

### **Step 6:**
**Click the edit button to paste the updated URL.**

**After pasting the new URL, save it by clicking on the save button. Before doing so, make sure to uncheck the "Open in new tab" option.**

### **Step 7:**
**To complete the process, click on "Don't update the modified date" to prevent the modified date from appearing on the blog post. Then, to save the changes, click on "Update."**
