Discretion is advised.** ::: ## Cause >The LonCan War occurred in the Lorcan family’s 7th year (Lorcan aged 11). >and the Lon family’s 6th year (Lon aged 7). [Lorcan](https://hackmd.io/kPKuaP0gTd-jOU7gf1rwbw#Lorcan), the Lorcan family’s Boss, driven by personal vengeance, sought to utterly break [Lon](https://hackmd.io/6ozMzFyDTMq5Z-paDkZgFA#Lon) so he could absorb the Lon family and seize its territory. He planted a small number of insiders inside the Lon family to approach Lon’s two children, Aie and Rue (then three years old), and lured the siblings to a remote rendezvous where they were murdered. The bodies were later abandoned at the border of Lon family territory as a deliberate act of humiliation. ## Necropsy Report by Doctor [Edison](https://hackmd.io/6ozMzFyDTMq5Z-paDkZgFA#Edison) :::spoiler **Aie** Aie’s body was covered with multiple fatal claw wounds, primarily concentrated on the neck and abdomen, with injuries coming from at least five different cats. ::: :::spoiler **Rue** Rue’s condition was much the same as Aie’s, but her head was severed from her body, determined to have been after a violent struggle. On her forehead, claws had carved deliberate marks. ::: Through scent identification, Edison confirmed that Lorcan was among the cats present at the scene. Other scents belonged to four unidentified toms, two she‑cats, and three so blurred they could not be traced. ## Impact of the Incident - The discovery of Aie and Rue’s bodies delivered an immediate and severe shock to Lon and the Lon family. The siblings were later buried in Cemetery Grove, where Lon sat by their graves for several days—unmoving, soaked by rain, and refusing food or water. - At the gravesite, after other cats had dispersed and only Clawhead [BR](https://hackmd.io/6ozMzFyDTMq5Z-paDkZgFA#Burrell-BR) remained at his side, Lon spoke a few words, appointed BR as the new Underboss, and then lost consciousness and collapsed beside the graves. - After Lon collapsed, his physical condition deteriorated rapidly; he withdrew from active leadership and remained incapacitated while receiving treatment. - During Lon’s incapacity, Clawhead [Laila](https://hackmd.io/6ozMzFyDTMq5Z-paDkZgFA#Laila) assumed responsibility for day‑to‑day operations; BR remained at Lon’s side, providing continuous care. - Rumors of the Boss’s collapse circulated within the family, and several Shadows defected to Lorcan’s faction during this interval. - Lon concealed his recovery; only Edison, BR, and Laila knew the truth while he continued to appear infirm in public - Lorcan assessed Lon as weakened and reduced his defensive vigilance. ## Preparations for Assault - Lon and Laila visited Laila’s birth family, now called the Vick family. Vick, the son of Laila’s sibling, agreed to cooperate with Lon in overthrowing Lorcan out of kinship to Laila and fear of Lorcan. - Lorcan’s mate, [Cora](https://hackmd.io/kPKuaP0gTd-jOU7gf1rwbw#Cora), realized before Lorcan that Lon was feigning illness, but she chose to remain silent to Lorcan. - Cora intended to sacrifice herself to secure the lives of her unborn kits and the Claws loyal to her. - Cora met Lon in secret and proposed aid in exchange for sparing the life of the kits she carried. She pledged to command the Claws under her control to shift allegiance to Lon and to open a passage through her territory for Lon’s forces, on condition that her Claws not be harmed. Lon accepted Cora’s terms and sealed the agreement with a blood oath. - Lon carried out an internal purge, killing the traitors who had colluded with Lorcan and those whose actions contributed to Aie and Rue’s deaths. ## Assault on Lorcan Famliy - 23:30 — Lon’s family began gathering; roughly 200 cats had assembled. - 00:00 — on met the Vick family and took command of their pledged 150 cats, bringing the attacking force to about 350. - 00:15 — Cora’s Claws opened a breach in the Lorcan family’s defenses, allowing Lon’s army to pass through unopposed. - 00:30 — Lon launched the assault; his forces spread word that those who surrendered would be spared. - 01:10 — As time passed, only the most loyal followers continued to resist while increasing numbers of cats defected to Lon’s side. - 01:25 — Lon and BR reached Lorcan to find he had already killed Cora and was preparing to strike his son Den. - 01:55 — Lorcan was killed by Lon. ## Post Assault - After Lorcan’s death, his family disbanded. Part of their territory was taken over by Lon family, while the remaining land was claimed by other cats who formed their own family. - The Lon family emerged as one of the dominant powers in the region, surpassing its previous standing - Vick family resumed its prior neutral relationship with Lon’s family. - Cora’s body was brought back to Lon territory and buried. - [Den](https://hackmd.io/6ozMzFyDTMq5Z-paDkZgFA#Den-Denny), Lorcan’s surviving son, was taken in and raised within the Lon family.
