# Accepting Steem Engine Mentors Applications Now


After a successful [Steem Engine Contest #1](https://steemit.com/steem-engine/@rosatravels/winners-or-guessing-steem-team-mentor-4-or-101-pal-given), we are now ready to move on to the next step to recruit Steem Engine Mentors!

This is a great opportunity for everyone to work together to grow the Steem Engine community by reaching out to people outside of Steem and also helping newbies on Steem to start using the Steem Engine platform effectively.

### As a mentor, you are a guide, a leader and a teacher.

### The mentee is your student and follower.

### 1. Requirements to be a Steem Engine Mentor

- SE mentor needs a reputation of at least 50
- SE needs to have some activities and experiences on the SE platform

### 2. A Successful Steem Engine Mentor

- Onboard newcomers to use the Steem Engine outside of Steem and newbies on Steem who have not signed in to SE yet.
- The mentee needs to have **5 Activities** on their dashboard at the end of your mentoring work

### 3. Role of a Successful SE Mentor

- Reach out to people outside of Steem via social media such as FB, IG, Twitter, Linkedin, etc
- Reach out to potential newbies on Steem and welcome them! Use the #introduceyourself and #introducemyself tags
- Introduce Steem Engine to mentees
- Show them how to sign up to the [Steem Engine website](https://steem-engine.com).
- Guide your mentees the advantages of using the Steem Engine site. Let them know why you use the Steem Engine site and the great purpose it has for you.

### 4. Rewards

Steem Engine is generously sponsoring the Steem Engine Mentor Program! The founder @aggroed will reward you for your hard work.

We will have 10 prizes. The person with the most mentees signing up with at least 5 activities will win 1st Prize!

1st prize - 100 Steem
2nd prize - 90 Steem
3rd prize - 80 Steem
4th prize - 70 Steem
5th prize - 60 Steem
6th prize - 50 Steem
7th prize - 40 Steem
8th prize - 30 Steem
9th prize - 20 Steem
10th prize - 10 Steem

The deadline of application will be 7 days from now at the payout of this post.

When the 7 days are up, I will write **another post to guide the recruited SE mentors** of the specific details so that it will make your work easier!
