--- tags: Summaries --- # MIP96: The Ecosystem Auditor Framework This is a summary of the contents of this subproposal and its impact, from GovAlpha's perspective: - This is a valid general MIP in accordance to the General MIP template. - It proposes a framework for transparent and consistent reporting on operational funds enabled by Maker Governance to its decentralized workforce. This includes Core Units, [MIP55](https://mips.makerdao.com/mips/details/MIP55) recipients, and future Governance approved mechanisms of providing funds for operational expenses. - The framework covers the following items: - The roles, responsibilities and qualifications for accountants, auditors, and operational wallet signers are defined. - Multi-sig standards for operational and auditor wallets are defined. - Standards for the monthly budget statement and monthly auditor report are defined.
