However, they get to approve how much voting power they join the committee with. - A member cannot add more MKR after being verified without the CVC's permission. - Quadratic voting and Two House voting should be options in the Scopes for CVCs to try out ### ACs Resiliency: Has there been any progress on finding an advisor for an ALM framework? - Facilitators responsibility to find ACs - CVC can help process - Develop a mechanism to shape the process - CVC can recommend process improvements, descriptions of appropriate qualifications, etc. - Resiliency: Others are better qualified to select qualifications for an advisor. Resiliency: If facilitators feel the DAO already has the expertise, they should communicate it. - Current workforce understands how the DAO works and is essential to developing the framework - Do we need additional input? From whom? - The Scopes will need to specify: - the communications expectations - other expectations, if we go for external workforce. - Issues: Same Facilitator for multiple Scopes - Current workforce is busy. Will only follow what is directed specifically by the Scopes. - Position Documents should set hiring expectations - Does Resiliency care to develop a strong policy view on this kind of workforce management issue? - Oversight of the workforce: - It is typically undesired to have someone else check the work you do, This is where CVCs come into play. - Unsure of to what extent outside/tradfi consultants are qualified to provide advice on ALM in defi context - Ask internal workforce what skill sets they objectively do not have on the team. - Initiate competing expertise could be controversial and cause friction. - Not sure who these experts would be, whether standard management consultants or other bank people that are up to the task - Avoid bringing *big* experts (i.e. McKinsey) just to say we hired "the best" - What about Crypto Founders or angel investors with personal funds. - Board of advisors instead of consultants? - Perhaps it would be best to refer to the business Maker already engages in, and what is not getting done - First thing we need is a clear specification of what we need. Without that we can buy one hour of consultancy after another without progressing - Who decides what the DAO needs and writes the specification? CDs? Facilitator? - Advisors should not define their own work without feedback - CDs should not be involved with pushing back on workforce or any management or performance issues directly. - CDs will be able to provide information to CVCs, who can push back if work is being done inappropriately. Resiliency: Goal is to have a clear model for maintaining the DAI peg, both in the short and long term. This model would examine the various risks and develop ways to mitigate them that could be applied to RWA collateral. Additionally, the CVC can review criteria put forward for the advisors. Homework: Is outside help needed and desired by the current workforce for the ALM Framework? ### Reliable Collateral Resiliency: Characteristics such as low default risk, trustworthy partners, and a reliable legal framework. - Other RWAs are acceptable if they fit the qualifications. They will likely be needed for the protocol to be financially sustainable. ## 2023-04-26 [Chat](https://pastebin.com/9d6i0TBm) ### Ongoing Discussions: - Incentivize growth with airdropped assets. - How to do it succesfully? - Resiliency: MakerDAO will keep getting tokens, process should be standarized - Defining policy and processes may be a good target for scope edits. - [Reference: Standardized method to review technical solution options](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/standardized-method-to-review-technical-solution-options/20613/1) - Resiliency aligns with ReFi - Resiliency supports an incremental approach towards automation. - Breaking processes down into manageable subcomponents and then simplifying and automating them as much as possible. ### Ecosystem Scope: - It is broad - Resiliency asks for more specificity on the projects and roles of ecosystem actors in 6.6.2. - i.e difference between roles of dewiz, sidestream, and pullup? - Priority should be determined by CVCs to avoid CDs biases - During KISS Call: Gov facilitators agree the AVCs can leave more room for for the ADs to propose changes - Workforce is transitioning to project-based work. - Resiliency's main request is for an organized/standarized way to present the different ecosystem actor roadmaps. - Which EA is working on what projects? - A general roadmap with estimated timelines and milestones. To what extent? - Retro, as Ecosystem role: we are adapting and transitioning the current Auditor Framework (https://forum.makerdao.com/t/mip96-the-ecosystem-auditor-framework/19389) from expense-based reporting, and exploring value-delivery based reporting. - Develop a framework for all of project-based budgeting or incubator activities ### Dewis - [Dewis](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/dewiz-engineering-services-your-smart-contract-specialists-for-defi/20545) - Current: development of the SubDAO farms smart contracts. - Plan to produce a business plan for our participation in the Ecosystem Incubator as soon as possible. Stalled because of increased on workload related to coordination tasks - How does Dewiz maintain continuity, minimize disruptions, and ensure the long-term success of the project? Will Dewiz create documentation for the next generation of developers? - For Spells, we expect the services to see competition - like Pullups and SAS, with a mature framework and process. The DAO gets consistent work and the competition between EAs is focused on quality, speed, and customer experience vs. execution - Frameworks(bulletproof processes and testing) need to be strong for competition to occur in a safe and efficient way - PE is giving the relationship of Auditors and Vendors to Dewiz to manage for the DAO. ### Conclusion: - We believe this highlights the need for - A simple, standardized process for ecosystem actors to communicate what they are working on. - Standardized processes for airdropped tokens. ![](https://i.imgur.com/5pkr3nV.png)
