--- tags: Summaries --- # MIP4c2-SP29: Amend MIP61 to tighten up Recognized Delegate Participation Metrics (DO NOT USE - see https://hackmd.io/@MIP-Editors/SkyNuvnro for updated version) This is a summary of the subproposal and its effects upon ratification from GovAlpha's perspective: - This is a valid proposal, eligible to enter the January Governance Cycle. - This MIP aims to amend [MIP61](https://mips.makerdao.com/mips/details/MIP61) by introducing the following modifications to delegate compensation criteria: - Participation score: Recognized Delegates must vote on Executive Proposals or voice their explicit opposition or abstention within 72 hours of them being posted to the voting portal in order for that vote to count towards their participation score. - Executive Votes are weighted by a factor of five compared to Governance Polls when calculating the participation score. - Communication score: Recognized Delegates have one week to communicate their reasoning if they support the Executive, and 72 hours to communicate their decision if they decide not to support it in order for that vote to count towards their communication score. - This proposal has been assigned High-Impact based on the methodology listed [here](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/introducing-impact-estimations/14267). ***Disclaimer: These summaries are intended to be a guide and not a source of truth.
