# MIP39c3-SP6: Core Unit Offboarding (CES-001)

- This is a valid Core Unit offboarding subproposal under the [currently approved governance process](https://mips.makerdao.com/mips/details/MIP39#MIP39c3).
- This proposal aims to offboard the Collateral Engineering Services Core Unit (CES-001).
- The current Facilitator has [voluntarily resigned his position](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/mip41c5-sp13-facilitator-offboarding-ces-001/18862).
- The unwinding plan must be carry out by an Interim Facilitator chosen via the [Fallback Selection Process](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/fallback-interim-facilitator-selection-process-ces-001/18911) defined in [MIP41c6](https://mips.makerdao.com/mips/details/MIP41#MIP41c6).
- The Interim Facilitator will decide how to complete the current work in progress and additional work to be completed to fulfill the current mandate until the ratification of this MIP.
- Upon ratification of this MIP, the Interim Facilitator will also cancel all contracted services and transition surviving services to the appropriate entities within MakerDAO, and pay all outstanding obligations and return remaining operational wallet funds to the auditors wallet.
- This proposal has been assigned `High-Impact` based on the methodology listed [here](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/introducing-impact-estimations/14267).
