Thumbnail View window: Display thumbnail views of the scanned or imported herbarium specimen images. B. Scan button: This button starts the scanning and metadata production process. C. Import button: This button imports the selected herbarium specimen images from a desired file location. D. Settings button: Click to activate the Settings window where you can adjust settings related to your herbarium specimen scanning or enter login information for a web based online database. E. Preview area: Display an enlarged view of the thumbnail selected in the Thumbnail View window. F. Zoom tools: Include Fit to Window, 1:1, and Zoom-in/out. Enable you to enlarge the scanned image in the Preview area or resize the scanned image to fit the Preview area. G. Image Adjustment panel: Include Brightness, Contrast, and Filters. Enable you to adjust and optimize effects for the scanned images. H. Select menu box: Select a metadata format to be used; define the scanned image as an attached file or as a replacement file for a file stored in the database. I. Specimen Data panel: Contain three major parts (Metadata table, OCR Results for Attached Labels and Comment sections), where you can edit the OCR results of the specimen label and enter detail comments. J. OCR results section: Display OCR (Optical Character Recognition) results of the herbarium specimen label. K. Resize: Drag the bottom right corner of the interface to increase or decrease the size of the Preview area. L. Export button: Click to save and output the scanned images and their related information data in XML format to an assigned folder in the local disk or to a connected online database. M. Export menu box: Click to select the output destination, the local disk or a connected online database, for the scanned images and their related information data in XML format. N. Select All option: Check the option to select all scanned images in the Thumbnail View window. O.
