- _Spectra of graphs_ (Brouwer and Haemers), is an excellent book that covers algebraic graph theory and association schemes. It's available through the library as an online book (springerlink).
- _A course in combinatorics_ (van Lint and Wilson), is comprehensive, and covers pretty much everything in this unit. It's available on the library book shelves.
- _Algebraic graph theory_ (Godsil and Royle), is co-authored by our very own Gordon Royle (UWA). It will be a really good for an introduction to algebraic graph theory. It's available on the library book shelves.
GAP is a computer algebra system, free and open source. You can find how to download it on www.gap-system.org . There are also very interesting GAP packages as part of the install, but also outside of the installation. One of these is [__AssociationSchemes__](https://www.jesselansdown.com/AssociationSchemes) that John B., Akihide Hanaki, and Jesse Lansdown have developed. There's nothing like exploring concrete examples to make the theory stick!
