# A benchmark for saliency in maps

This document describes how we can create a benchmark for saliency in maps.

The methods are based on other benchmarks that can be found [here](https://saliency.tuebingen.ai/datasets.html). The benchmark is created by recording users looking briefly at map images with an eye-tracker.
