**Campaign 5 - Session 2 Tier list by ya boi Hormuz.
=
This session was a railroad of emotions as the nations we thought would rise as great powers got suplexed by secondary powers, interesting choices were made and the memes were plentiful as always.
**Start of the session:**

Tier List:
**S Tier**: The crème de la crème of the session, these nations did extra-ordinary conquests/politics or have done something extremely funny.
**Hungary**
Was at war with Austria, Ottomans and Venice at the same time but managed to beat them all using clever diplomacy and strategy. The Hungarians surely showed the wanna-be conquerors how to do maneuvers around the Carpathians.
Even though this puts Hungary at S tier the Hungarian player might look out for black clouds as Ottomans claimed that some bad decisions and diplomacy was the reason for his victory.
**Aragon**
Aragon seems to be played by a competent player who took every opportunity to expand his already vast lands by claiming the majority of Iberia and allying with Burgundy to establish a foothold in France.
I'm willing to bet that Aragon will dominate European politics to come if he can play his cards right.
**Burgundy**
The French legacy ended as quickly as it started with the Burgundians snuffing the French torch forever by taking Ile-de-France, showed the world its competency by beating back the French using excellent military co-ordination with its allies and managed to avoid a coalition from taking 70 devs worth of provinces.
Burgundy beat back its only rival in the region and allied with the rest, ensuring that Burgundy will be in European politics for a long time.
**Naples**
Never ever have I seen in the history of EU4 MP an action that got me laughing for 2 minutes straight but here we are. Betrayed their ally for land and honestly the memey events afterwards gets them to S tier.
Pretty good industry and solid alliances as well.
**A Tier:** These nations have outdone themselves and my inital expectations and are going to strong into the next session.
**Muscovy**
The sleeping bear from session 1 has awoken and shown its claws by expanding everywhere and dabbling in European politics. The player will surely form Russia in the coming sessions.
**Genoa**
With a good trade node comes great expectation and the Genoa player have fulfilled those expectations by snaking everywhere from Avignon to Rome.
Being situated at one of the richest nodes at this age, Genoa have abused that to their fullest but have allied with Venice and Florence so their expansion is predictable.
**Manchu**
The Manchu have proven their might by taking over the coast of eastern China and allying with their neighbors, they seem to be stronger than anyone in the immediate area and rightfully so. Those Manchu cavalryman look like troops you shouldn't trifle with.
Look to your economy after this war, accept some cultures and build up your provinces.
**Shanxi**
The Shanxi can do politics, I can give them that. Allied with Oirat and Manchu, who I thought would be enemies, Shanxi is looking super-powerful in the China thunderdome.
Has the name Horde Bitch on discord and that title is somewhat correct but has good monarch points, strong army and economy so its working out for them.
**Poland**
The Polish did not waste their time with court politics and decided to form the Commonwealth through force. With the Teutons as a loyal hat.
The Polish have set themselves up as a strong nation but the hugbox they have with the Austrians and Russians may be gone in a blink of an eye if any of them decide to stop Poland from emerging as a regional power.
**Scotland**
The sound of a thousand bagpipes could be heard from Scottish Marches as the Scots took a piece of the English and French pie.
Allied with the Dutch for some reason even though they hold provinces needed to form GB, another victim of hugboxtinatus. Still A tier due to good politics and gameplay.
**Holland**
The Dutch have planted their flag wherever their wooden shoes and trade boats took them and cemented themselves as future Netherlands and allied whoever they needed to achieve that goal.
But they conquered too much and too quick, lets see if their alliances hold up in the events of unforeseen consequences.
**B Tier** These nations have done everything that they can in their immediate area and have set a solid foundation to do some braver plays in the future.
**Austria**
Expanded a bit in the HRE but and secured some alliances. Even though they lost a war against Hungary. They secured their emperorship thanks to clever managing of electors. In an interesting war with Aragon which might shake up a few things.
**Brandenburg**
Expanded in the HRE even though they don't have an alliance with Austria which is respectable, looks like they're going to take an anti-Austrian stance in Europe, we'll see how it will pan out.
**Venice**
Looks like the Venetians have more ambitious goals than trading as they've taken over Lombardy and look to further expand their assets.
But they are another victim of hugboxtinatus as they've allied with Florence who own a center of trade belonging to the Venice node. We'll see further politics before they move up or down.
**Florence**
Florence sits at B tier due to their conquests and good politics but their position in Italy, sandwiched by ambitious nations who want to get more land, may bring up some interesting scenarios in the future
**Bahmanis**
Consolidated power in India with a loyal Mewar, beat back the Timmies and is in a position where it can expand more but we'll have to wait and see if they can abuse their power to their fullest potential.
**Sirhind**
Allied with the Bahmanis and ate up its neighbors, seems to have strong alliances.
**Malacca**
Allied with the only threat nearby, Malacca has strong vassals and is in a good position to influence Asian politics to come.
**Ayutthaya**
A suprising power to emerge in Indochina. This Thai nation has the strongest army in the Indochina, some solid allies, plenty of monarch points and a good economy and plenty of room to expand into.
**Yunnan**
Ate up his neighbors but didn't ally with the Chinese Bloc, allied with the Indochinese instead. Still in a good position with good allies.
**Oirat**
Set up alliances and expanded everywhere it could, in a solid place to expand some more.
It needs to be careful though as Transoxiana may undo everything Oirat has done with some help from the Timmys.
**Transoxiana**
Allied themselves to their biggest threat and expanded through clever politics, would be but into A tier in any other session than this one.
**Timurids**
Managed to survive as Timmys and now emerged as a regional power but allied with Qara and Transoxiana for some reason so its expansion is extremely predictable. I'm not sure but I heard it lost a war against the Indians.
**Qara Qoyunlu**
Allied with Timmy and expanded as much as it can expand, looks like its expansion went unnoticed by the Ottomans aswell.
**Denmark**
Lost its vassals but it didn't matter as gained enough land from Sweden to be a regional power, you lose some you gain some. Has Muscovy and Poland as an ally but that might change in the future.
**Teutonic Order**
Allied with Poland and took some land as an loyal hat, in a good spot and can possibly form Prussia. Went bankrupt but recovered from it.
**Great Horde**
You lost some but gained it back cleverly and are in a position where you can influence politics. My suggestion is to look for some allies.
**Kono aka Japan**
United Japan under one banner, given some time might emerge as a major power in the region.
**Mewar**
Allied with Bahmanis and expanded a bit, fought some wars and overall did good.
**Ava**
Is in the forefront of the Indochina-India border but expanded enough to defend themselves against invaders. Allied with its neighbors aswell.
**Aztecs**
Unified northern Mexico and allied with Cocomes speaking of who;
**Cocomes**
Unified southern Mexico and allied with Aztecs we'll see how this duo turns out when the Europeans arrive at their shores.
**Ajuuran**
Ajuuran expanded in the Horn of Africa and got some allies, we'll see how things turn out.
**Kilwa**
Even though small on the map, Kilwa has a giant vassal controlling all the gold provinces in South Africa. Even though I think this is a pepega move maybe he has some grand plan I can't even comprehend. Gets B tier for doing all the expansion it can.
**Yemen**
Secured the coffee provinces and did diplo to avoid getting ganked, looks solid in the Arabian region.
**Betsimisaraka**
Took over all of Madagascar which puts him at A tier but is pretty much diplomatically isolated. We'll see how it churns out.
**Bengal**
Expanded pretty much everywhere where there wasn't a player and got a couple of shaky alliances, has a couple of vassals and a strong military.
**Kongo**
Took over all of Kongo and has some land in Central Africa, allied with the closest player nearby and I guess waiting for Europeans to arrive.
**Mali**
Became the dominating power in Niger by killing its rival Songhai, looks like there won't be any free African land for the European players in Niger as long as the Mali player keeps up his expansion.
**Dai Vet**
Very slimly made it to B tier as he didn't expand much but made some alliances which may result in some land for him.
**Portugal**
Took land from dying Castille and made its ambitions very clear, but didn't do enough to merit A tier, still
**C Tier:** These nations did something, not quite enough to make it B tier but didn't stay idle either.
**Bohemia**
Expanded a bit but not enough to merit B tier, made some alliances and has a stable footing to expand in the next session.
**Tunis**
Didn't expand into its AI neighbors because of "other shit". Might expand into them next session so we will see which tier they will be in then.
**Sus**
Somehow expanded in Morocco and wisely went exploration ideas while the Europeans are squabbling over France, If they form CN's in the next session they'll become B tier.
**Korea**
Allied with the hordes but took very little land compared to Manchu, the lands he took are also random, not belonging to any states. I guess it won't matter as the player is going Exploration+Expansion.
**Savoy**
Lost some land but gained some, allied the French which didn't went well (we'll get to France in a second)
**Mamluks**
Rushed the gold mines and then stopped. Didn't go for his missions, decided to stay neutral with the Ottomans even though they were in their weakest state, maybe will do more in the next session who knows ?
**Britanny**
Fought valiantly with the French but no cigar in the end. No land, no gold and a weakened army.
**E Tier:** You did nothing, either because you didn't want to or you could not.
**Haida**
Chillin' in NA hunting some whales, didn't really do anything.
**Cree**
NA Tribe kinda just sittin' vibin' also transferring 2 ducats a month to Haida for some reason.
**Salish**
NA Tribe that vassalized another NA Tribe somehow. Kinda chillin kinda vibin'.
**Cusco**
Weirdly passive even though there is no players in South America to oppose them, maybe they have a bigger plan.
**D Tier:** This tier reserved for me as I don't want to be biased also we want to avoid dick jokes and need a filler to get to F tier.
**Hormuz**
I took some land and did some diplo yey D tier.
**F Tier:** Your nation is worse than the default start.
**France**
For a moment, when Frenchie took control of France, I believed that he would be conquerors of conquerors that every king in Europe would bow at his sight but in reality he sunk France into a hole by declaring a war, losing, truce breaking into another war and losing again.
I don't think France can recover from this one.
**Ottomans**
The Ottomans player lost a war as the Ottomans and promptly went bankrupt with an unruly vassal. I haven't seen a blunder this bad in so far in my 100 hours of EU4 MP.
**Castille**
Basically lost all of his Iberian lands to Aragon and Portugal, now stuck in an island off the coast of Africa trying to sell institutions. Bravo for sticking through the defeat though.
**Sweden**
I guess we won't see a lion of the north. Tried to avoid bankruptcy by taking corruption hits and ended up with 35 corruption and still went bankrupt.
**Livonian Order**
Lost all of his land to the Teutons. Thats it.
