started to read in deep the info shared on trasformatorio cloud with my project lenses on and taking notes of what catches my attention and why

* A carnevale (il carnevale di Arroscia era abbastanza famoso) si riuniscono i 4 comuni (che un tempo erano lo stesso) e leggono le raccomandazioni. "siamo 4 che ci guardiamo a uno sputo di distanza ma non sempre ci guardiamo con sguardo benevolo. Riunificare i 4 comuni (mendatica, cosio, montegrasso, Pornassio). Si chiamano "Sentenze".

* there is any inhabitant that studies Dr.Hamer 5 biological laws? Anyone that practice any kind of healing? -> would like to connect

* Le cave di Triora -> anything that is connected with the underground will be of deep interest for my work since we need to dive deep into the Earth memories -> any historical archive related to the ground changes
* NOTES FOR COLLABS - any performer, dancer musician that could help give voice to the terrytory elements and "ghosts" I would be happy to collaborate - for the popolation no idea of the character still but as far as my first overwiew see, I would like to work with who wants to get involved through the CBI method (Carachter Based Improvisation) -> popolation part is for the in loco part

Notes by randomly reading the folders on cloud and transcribing my notes during the calls (till today, 21/04/2021)

* From the folder of Simona Verrusio -> IL TERRITORIO DELLE ERBE Nella Liguria di Ponente, dovel’ambiente mediterraneo si incon-tra con la catena delle Alpi, sonorappresentati i due terzi della floraeuropea. Il territorio di Cosio d’Arroscia,nelle Alpi Liguri, estendendosi tra i200 ed i 2000 metri di altitudine,ne ospita gran parte. Il forte dislivello altimetrico, ilsoleggiamento, la ventilazione par-ticolare che si forma sullo spartiac-que tirrenico-padano, creano nelterritorio di Cosio d’Arroscia unaserie di microclimi che, uniti allacomposizione geologica del terre-no, si sono storicamente rivelatiottimali per la produzione di pian-te aromatiche e medicinali. -> *wondering if there are SECRET HERBS KNOWLEDGE, witchcraft is often correlated to healing science, the one that church didn't know... for me is personal interest but for sure a good hint for my research because of the interest about wound and scars is higher in people that look for help from nature*

* Federico said "the forest is eating the village" "in Triora... one of the biggest witchunt of Europe took place there" *-> this is where my focus goes on fire, going there without esitation*

**HOW TO CONNECT TO PEOPLE OF COSIO FROM FAR, THOUGHTS AND QUESTIONS**
* 200 inhabitants -> *how old?*
* connection to the village bridges and options:

Cristina can go in loco and be a facilitator (for example gather some Cosio people at a table and have a collective call or mange an interactive ***RADIO STREAM*** with me and inhabitants of Cosio)-> *I need to define ifthiswill be more useful in the beginning, orafter the letter (probably after so I can create a more effective conversation)*

Il sindaco, La Pro-loco, Mariella (?), Diego(?) if I got it right those are available in-loco facilitators -> I would like to ***WRITE LETTERS*** to the inhabitants to get them involved and start my investigation to find TERRITORY SCARS ->
*how to make it easy to write personal letters to all?
personal letter or messagesin a bottlethat can be found?
personal letters or randomly written and distributed ones?
...I would prefer to make them personal even if it is a long work...depends on timing... for the personal letter I need at least three elements: name, age, occupation -> is that possible to ask such a list? obviously all will be treated as confidential and burn after using (I can sign any doc needed for that)*

**HOW TO CONNECT TO PEOPLE OF COSIO IN LOCO, THOUGHTS AND QUESTIONS**

Normally I do personal conversations and photoshooting, but I will sure find another way since we have short period there.
one option is to mcreate a map drawn from my investigation and then add the element of wound - healing process - scar there
this can be expressed as staging, a sort of theater in wich the TERRITORY SCAR becomes a ritual embroided into the normal life -> for example the tool of Character Based Improvisation will allow me to construct this -> will need people to be characters, easy ones for the villagers and most complex for performers... to give a body to the invisible

For the investigation at distance I decided to have different approaches:

**1 - THE LETTER**

I wrote a letter addressed to all the inhabitants of Cosio that is a personal 1/1 approach (well, I hadn't the opportunity to have all details of each inhabitant so it will start with a generic/personal letter) ->
that allow me to find a personal connection with some inhabitants that maybe are way more open at this level, pen-pal style let say... of course I cannot have time to send the letter so I will need the help of facilitators there to send by mail, Mariella is ok on helping me with that, I phoned her and we are good connected, cool!

Gentilissimi abitanti di ogni età.
Spero che questa lettera vi trovi bene.

Avrei voluto rivolgermi singolarmente ad ognuno di voi ma vista la lontananza ed il tempo che stringe, ho deciso di mandare una prima lettera a tutti per presentarmi.

Mi chiamo Barbara Tosti e faccio parte del gruppo di artisti del Trasformatorio.

Il mio lavoro principalmente si basa sul ritratto, ascolto e raccolgo storie di cicatrici, storie personali che attraverso l'arte diventano espressioni di un esperienza, di un processo di guarigione donato al mondo.

In questa esperienza a Cosio vorrei scovare e narrare le cicatrici del luogo, per questo ho bisogno del vostro aiuto a distanza, prima di poterci incontrare.
Ho bisogno della vostra memoria storica, della vostra intuizione, dei vostri sentimenti, dei vostri occhi, dei vostri ricordi, delle vostre orecchie, forse anche il naso...

Sono alla ricerca di storie ed aneddoti legati a quello che raramente si vede, come fate, fantasmi, streghe... o anche di personaggi che hanno fatto soffrire il territorio, il paese, anche storie di amori difficili, ma questi sono solo esempi, non vorrei rattristarvi, molte storie iniziano male ma finiscono bene, e d'alétronde mi interessano anche le storie buffe, strane, magiche, le sorprese, spero vivamente di poter avere l'onore di accedere alla ricchezza dei vostri racconti.

Mi farebbe molto piacere entrare in contatto personale con ognuno di voi perché sono sicura che ogni piccolo dettaglio aiuterà la mia, o meglio la nostra indagine alla scoperta delle ferite del territorio di Cosio d'arroscia, dei suoi processi di guarigione e delle sue cicatrici, perché ogni cicatrice sia un orgogliosa riuscita da un momento buio, da un inciampo o una buffa inaspettata situazione, secondo me ogni cicatrice merita una corona!

La "corona" sarà la sorpresa, quello che avverrà al nostro incontro.

**2 - THE CBI CONNECTION**

I want to rely on my experience as director in CBI process, very similar to a LARP situation, but with a cup of improvisation and a cup of intuitiveness, to manage to ask facilitators to do some tasks of connection with the inhabitants, some while I live guide them ->
that allow to emerge things by breaking the routine, through unespected, here I need help of Federico or Mosè for being my Sherloc Holmes (I need to better taylor the charachter toghether)

HERE SOME EXAMPLES:
***1- invisible***
I heard about this place where they trowed bodyes during "spagnola", about Triora mills, about some empty houses/places of the village... so for investigate this themes when they not emerge easily, I will need that someone can go with this sequence of questions, probably repeated during time, or in different situations, kind of diluited mantra ->
*"ci sono posti dove hai paura ad andare?"
"anche altri abitanti condividono questo sentore?"
"ci sono altri posti dove invece si sta particolarmente bene?"
"conosci parole magiche"
"cosa diresti per benedire qualcuno?"
"cosa diresti per maledire qualcuno?"
"qualcuno che conosci ha subito un incantesimo?"*
...of course they do not have to be straight in line into the discussion but better if in this order and better if all posed.

***2- emotional***
I feel that there is something related to the exploitation/betrayal of terrytory, maybe in war time or in '60, maybe related to caves, to the leaving (emigration?)'... same as before those themes can be brought out by a sequencew of question, as above ->

***3- historical***
I heard the sound of bells, it is quite terrible for me, and also remember me the church/state duality, fight and love that we know culturally in Italy, so, in any moment the bells stop their song is a good moment to go with the question beads, as before ->

"secondo te hanno sempre avuto questo suono?"
"chissà quante persone le hanno sentite... chissà come si sentivano, tu come le immagini?"*

**3 - IMAGINARY/FARSIGHT**

I will need a volunteer to go FEEL some places:
- caves
- empty houses in Cosio (nearby if not inside)
- church
- "spagnola" cemetery
- where ground falled
- any other that will be spotted in investigation

for that point need an investigator of the subtle character

I think it will be important to find a way to keep the recod of all this moments, mostly by recording the voices and taking videos, this data that will emerge can be used in cross sharing with the other artists

We are on the full time work lab week-end, 14-15-16 may 2021 (first time I realized I need to put a date on it) yesterday I got a very precious help from the facilitators, something I am writing down from today on;

* We switched by making operative first the point 3 and I will find a different way to make operative 2 -> connected with Ksenija to work more intuitive + I will register my woice delivering those questions... **-> my voice trasmitted sometimes, plus maybe other ways can be a subliminal way to stimulate to emerg in the inhabitants of Cosio the willingness and urgency to answer**

**1. THE CHURCH**
Mosè went there, made me video, pictures, sound recording and answered to my questions, while he was there I made an automatic drawing, kind of a map that I shared with him and we could walkaround talking

Cristiana and Diego went there, in the abandoned historical center of Cosio made me video, pictures,sound recording and answered to my questions, while he was there I made an automatic drawing, unfortunately the connection was not working good so we could not walk to find the spot I drawed *(there was a long delay so for me was quite difficult to find and organize material, expecially because charged on cloud without precise indication, I would like to have much direct communication while I make this work at distance because I am involved too and left alone without a message make me loose a lot of energy, remember that also in absentia we are connected and from far is intense, I took a day off and went drifting to do what you were doing to support the energy and test intuition, anyway, just pointing it out for me to bee more clear about this inb advance next time)*

I realized I had a great opportunity, even if a bit chaotic, to experiment proposal from other artist, help each other, getting to know through various channel, from writing, chatting, audio and video sharing, drifting, asking, answering... I learned, or well, got an underline to something that already seen by working from far with #cicatriciebaci
WHEN WE TALK ABOUT ABSENTIA WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT WITHOUT CONNECTION, CLEAR PRESENCE IN THE SAME MOMENT CREATE A CLEAR CONNECTION, START/STOP POINTS ARE FOUNDAMENTAL in fact Drift went perfectly because was planned, same as Mosé investigations cause he did exactlywhat I asked "ho bisogno qualcuno che si rechi sul posto e da lì tragga informazioni, io da lontano vorrei connettermi in questo modo: prima tu scegli la missione e mi avvisi quando parti via messaggio, poi quando arrivi ancora, poi senti da solo il posto e quando sei pronto mi dici che ti chiamo. Sarebbe bello se alcuni posti vengano registrati in video, così anche alcune tue riflessioni in audio." -> YESI KNOW SEEM STRANGE TO PLAN INTUITION BUT... is like when you call someone by phone,you are not planning the words but you connect/disconnect clearly

what can be used for continzue my investigation:
1. Ksenjia **boxes work** -> we plan todo one session between us in absentia and see how this can be of help now, for the presentia we agreed that we can fill some boxes with my questioning, and anyway we can continue toshare data about special places that can be used to perform once in presentia (scar, archetypes,storytelling)
2. **The Letter** -> Mariella took care of thet and is my precious contact for help me find storys of scars, help me connect with the right inhabitants, already talked about Alessia, some old people, a writer -> my fault I was so busy I could not yet talk toAlessia even if everithing is ready
3. VR -> I feel the need to map in a VR shareable world all the interesting material from the investigation -> ulucky it took a lot of time totest the options, but now decided for **Criptovoxel Spaces** -> this part is somehow to experiment but is a kind of mindmap probably by sharing with other artists I will get a better idea, learn by doing,follow the flow, build
4. **Facebook** -> Mariella told me that people uses it, so I would like to get connected through this, I can tag Proloco,they told me yes... (unfotunately they do not listen to radioantidoto)

We are on the end of may, I am slowly finding new info from inhabitants and did some experment on VR so I ned to rewrite my to-do list, I will use previous note to re write it:

1. Ksenjia **boxes work** -> we plan todo one session between us in absentia and see how this can be of help now, for the presentia we agreed that we can fill some boxes with my questioning, and anyway we can continue toshare data about special places that can be used to perform once in presentia (scar, archetypes,storytelling) -> testing 3 of june in absentia
2. **The Letter** -> Mariella took care of that and is my precious contact -> I got in contact with the mother of Alessia, she got the letter, (probably I will need to record audio messages to Alessia) so the President of Pro Loco, So the writer Nello Scarato (through the daughter) and Rosela the old poetress (not sure how to contact, probably Mirella will record her)-> **EVERITHING IS GOING THE SOUND WAY**
3. VR -> I leave that for now, too mani issues with collected material -> I need to focus before on processing what I find with alchemy **TRANSFORM AND GIVE BACK TO COSIO; HOW? SOUND IS ONE GOOD WAY**
