# Arm-SSE-300-FVP Installation process on Windows 10 # 1) STEP 1: Download and Install MDK Core Keil MDK is the most comprehensive software development solution for Arm based microcontrollers and includes all components that you need to create, build, and debug embedded applications. Install Keil MDK 5 from https://www2.keil.com/mdk5/install. Note that, KEIL MDK 5 only supports Windows OS. You can check the minimum requirements here: https://www2.keil.com/system-requirements/. Fill in the details and download. ![](https://i.imgur.com/APl1t9p.png) Complete the installation at your preferred path. # 2)STEP 2: Install the Arm Corstone-300 Ecosystem FVP Arm Ecosystem Fixed Virtual Platforms (FVPs) model hardware subsystems targeting different market segments and applications. They implement a programmer's view suitable for software development and enable execution of full software stacks, providing a widely available platform ahead of silicon. Ecosystem FVPs are available without license control for direct download. Here Install Corstone-300 FVP from. https://developer.arm.com/tools-and-software/open-source-software/arm-platforms-software/arm-ecosystem-fvps ![](https://i.imgur.com/VmmNeBw.png) Unzip and install the .msi installer file. Change the installation path as C:\Keil_v5\ARM\FVP\Corstone-300\ and finish installation. # STEP 3: Configuration and setting Up Open Keil uvision & go to Project & open a demo project from Corstone-300 tab. Alternatively, you can download the same project from https://www.keil.com/-r22. The explanation of this demo project can be found here: 1) Webinar link: https://www.brighttalk.com/webcast/17792/386144 2) PDF: https://developer.arm.com/documentation/kan329/latest/ Download from here 1)Open Corstone-300.uvprojx & build the project 2) Go to Options for Target -> Debug. ![](https://i.imgur.com/xJe5X2z.png). In debug specify the path of the downloaded FVP in step 2 ![](https://i.imgur.com/7mHKxZ1.png) Click OK and start a debug session from above (Ctrl + F5) If you see such type of error, please check if Telnet is enabled as per https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/38433.windows-10-enabling-telnet-client.aspx ![](https://i.imgur.com/p8nRjkw.png) If the issue isn't resolved yet, then in Options for target -> Debug, keep the config file as blank ![](https://i.imgur.com/9uupIrV.png) Now, click OK and start debug session. You'll be able to see debug window now ![](https://i.imgur.com/zjLxttc.png) If you face any issue: Refer this video tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODG_FEeCYtc
