# Builders Team - May Update ## TL;DR - Good progress with OpenZeppelin and their runtime library development, key to Substrate[cito]. Thanks to Nick and Kerstin for their contributions in the negotiations, and also to Gautam, Vince and Sehran for the support in the project. - Teams coming into SquareOne with more advanced projects stages. This is both thanks to the teams handed over from Growth and those that came from W3F after successfully delivering a grant. - Polkadot Treasury as the second most used steering option after Grants. - 7 new teams accepted to the SBP, with one Graduating. ## Detailed Update ### Square One Within the last **60** days the Growth team has committed and handed over **23** new projects to Square One where we are actively in contact and guiding them through the different Initiatives recommended to them. The W3F also handed over **7** new projects who have successfully applied & completed a Grant and would like to further their development within our ecosystem. ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/H1ccj-jUn.png) Within the last month Square One has also handed over **2** project to the SBP for an evaluation review. #### Team Status To highlight some of the deals that the Growth Team have handed over recently, we will give a quick overview of the projects steering options and current status. (Check it out [here](https://zep.us/play/yxjJPz), Password: “SubstrateIsLove”) The main topics for last few sessions were: - Francisco from [Tanssi presented their protocol](https://www.loom.com/share/3ad7c98d29124706978cadba4941882a) designed for swift and effortless deployment of application-specific blockchains. Making Substrate development and deployment easier. - Bryan Chen from Acala presented [Chopsticks](https://github.com/AcalaNetwork/chopsticks), a tool for e2e testing across multiple versions of XCM. - Daniel a.k.a woss from Anagolay Network presented Dotsama.info that places critical chain specs, versions, binaries all in a convenient json file with items hosted on ipfs. - Nino from Apillon presented what Apillon is currently [working on](https://app.apillon.io/). - Dominik from Brushfam talked about [Sol2Ink](https://github.com/Brushfam/sol2ink) and how easy it is with sol2ink to transform solidity code to ink! code ### Technical feedback We have continued to listen to the feedbacks of the community and we have reached more than **140 total feedback count** in more than **50 different unique user stories**. We continue to work on gathering additional feedback from more and more sources. Please find more information [here](https://www.notion.so/Builders-Study-e546a2a9bdaf43e8bb8207962b977f9b) and in [this Forum post](https://forum.parity.io/t/ecosystem-feeback/1821). ## Future Plans - SquareOne Revamp is underway to actively track teams and their status on an ongoing basis. The idea is to have a project history journey path of where a project started and how it is currently progressing in our Ecosystem. - SBP will go back to a more active communication with teams, leveraging the fact that there are not that many teams in the program. - Keep on looking for feedback on Ecosystem Feedback post, [here](https://forum.parity.io/t/ecosystem-feeback/1821). If none receive this week, we'll post on Polkadot Forum. - Restart conversation with providers about easy to deploy parachains for Substrate[cito]. If anyone has a potential partner here, let us know! ## Team Updates - Joshua reached the 1 year mark with us :tada: - No new members joining.
