## Potential Investor Proposal for Blue Gem Studios ## Members Currently our Game studio consists of a small group of 4. Ann Fowler, Chris Fowler, Jason Garlinghouse and Sapphire Fowler. The game development team consists of Sapphire and Jason. Sapphire and Jason are the two working in Maya and Unity, the two main programs and applications that the game are made in. Sapphire is our CEO (Cheif Executive Officer) and CTO (Chief Technology Officer) as well as Programmer for our games. She mainly works in Unity. Jason is our CMO (Chief Marketing Manager) as well as the artist. He works mainly in Maya making the models for characters and environment that you see in the game. As of right now we do not have any other members in the Game Development team, but we will be looking so that the load is not entirely on these two. We likely won't have more than 3 members to start. Ann is our CFO (Chief Financial Officer). If it has any relation to money she is the person in charge. While Chris is the COO (Chief Operations Oficer) and Finance Manager. These two are the brains and the biggest help to Blue Gem and getting us started. ## Games ### Detox The first game that we are working on is called [Detox](https://aieseattle.itch.io/detox). Detox is a third person RPG where the goal is to clear the world of 'The Corruption' by healing corrupted life and purifying the Tree of Life from Corruption. It would be rated E for Everyone because it contains fantasy themes with simple and easy to understand mechanics. It will be available on PC to start, but we hope to eventually be able to release it on the Nintendo Switch. The game takes place after a 150 year old book has become merged with the tree of life. A faerie whose heart was filled with malice and intentions were laced with evil placed a spell on the book that would cause chaos and wreak havoc on the world around them. The main character is a faerie who wakes up after a strange dream where the narrator informs them of how their world was overtaken with 'The Corruption'. The Corruption presents as both a thick smog that is thicker around the Tree of Life, until you unlock the ability to travel there, and as a virus that has infected the local habitat. It has caused the plants and animals to be more hostile towards people and travelers. Once the player gets the hang of contols they are able to start traveling the world and healing the corrupted plants and animals that they come across until they find the bosses of each area. As they travel they meet new people who sometimes give them things that will help them in the end of the game when they are faced with the main boss; the source of The Corruption. Once the player heals and purifies the boss they can continue the game after the credits to find any other plants or animals that may still be corrupted. We plan to release Detox on itch.io by December 7, 2021 with as few bugs as possible and no further development except possible DLC content. We are focusing currently on Detox. ## Blue Gem Nitty Gritties ### Expenses We are looking at roughly $8,750 total for startup expenses. This is the rough estimate we have currently for the cost of the LLC, two new laptops, and a 1 year subscription for Maya. If we decide to pursue publishing on the Nintendo switch it would be at least another $500 (exact cost not known until we create a Nintendo Developer account) for a Nintendo Development Kit. However, the Development Kit is not only for one project. The Nintendo Development Kit is essentially a Nintendo Switch console provided by Nintendo for playtesting any and all games we are developing for the platform. For the LLC we have set up the address and percent of Ownership. We made it so that it is minority owned. Sapphire and Ann each hold 26% while Chris and Jason each hold 24%. It is both woman owned and queer owned. The cost is at $506.96 for the LLC so we can hire Rocket Lawyers to help us out. Ann handles the specifics for that. We plan to set up a bank account at either Harborstone or Key Bank. We plan to use it for saving funds so we can keep the Business seperate from our personal accounts. We estimate $6,600 for two new laptops. They are the MSI Stealth Laptops. they include 10th gen intel core i9 processor and RTX. We need the RTX to help us accomplish our lighting goals in game. And Jason's current laptop is barely hanging on and has already caused a few hiccups. We chose to do a 1 year subscrition to Maya ($1,620) because Jason is going to be going to school at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) next year, which is also where Sapphire just graduated from. The subscription should be able to get Jason to the start date of AIE. Maya is the main platform used for all things model and animation related. ### Royalties As of right now we won't be recieving any royalties until after the game is published. All "Employees" of Blue Gem are unpaid. That being said, Royalties will come in, and ### End Credits In the end credits of the game we will have everyone's name listed. We are leaving it up to you as the investor to decide if you want your name included. We will likely have it set up where we put the development team, then Ann and Chris and then special thanks to [your name]. We need to know what you would like us to put for your name. Or, if you don't want your name listed let us know. We will make sure to thank you personally, though.
