Set up and register your Fire TV device to stream Prime Video, use Alexa, access the Amazon Appstore, and receive the latest software updates.

### Step 1: Connect Your Device
* Plug the Fire TV power adapter into a wall outlet.
* Insert batteries into your Fire TV remote.
* Connect your Fire TV Stick or Fire TV device to your TV’s HDMI port.
* Turn on your TV using the Power button on the Fire TV remote.

### Step 2: Pair Your Remote
If the remote doesn’t pair automatically, press and hold the Home button until “Press Play/Pause to start” appears on-screen (about 10 seconds).

### Step 3: Set Up Wi-Fi
* Choose one of these options:
* QR Code Setup: Scan the on-screen QR code with your mobile phone to automatically connect to Wi-Fi.
* Manual Setup: Use your Fire TV remote to follow the on-screen instructions and enter your Wi-Fi password.

### Step 4: Register Your Device
To sign in or create an Amazon account, choose one of these options:
* **QR Code:** Scan the on-screen QR code with your mobile phone.
* **Web Address:** Visit [Amazon.com/mytv](https://amazonmytvguide.stck.me/post/1563504/How-Do-I-Enter-My-Verification-Code-on-Amazon) on your computer or mobile browser and enter the activation code shown on your TV screen.
* Note: If you created an account without a password, press the Back button on your remote when prompted. Then, use your phone or computer to visit [Amazon.com/mytv](https://amazonmytvguide.github.io/) and enter the verification code.

### **Step 5: Add a Payment Method**
* To download apps and games from the Amazon Appstore, add a default payment method:
* Go to Your Payments in your Amazon account settings.

### Step 6: Activate Features
Enable Voice Commands When TV Screen is Off to use Alexa hands-free.
