# Alliance Rules and Orientation
This page shall describe what our alliance stands for and how we would like to play.
## Common Values
The following values shall be base of our acting. Values are ordered in descending importance.
1. **Have fun to develop and grow together**
We are all here because we want to play. The Game works on different levels. First everyone begins to play in his own base. Soon one has joined an alliance and we start playing together. Playing together does not mean simply being in an alliance and everyone doing his own thing. No - it is more starting with teamwork.
3. **Become one of the top 3 Allies in this state**
As an top 3 Alliance we will be able to take part in different team events like the Battle for Launch Center and others. To reach this, we - every single member - must focus on developing. Growing in base level, growing in power, growing in technology
5. **Help each other**
We will not succeed alone. Helping each other starts with our daily teamwork. Be present in alliance chat as much as possible. Get to know everyone that is fighting with you. We all are friends here and we will be successful as one team!
7. **Care for the state**
We should all help to solve conflicts where we see them. We should make friends with other alliances and do everything to give this state to the best. Because that is the base to be successful in upcoming events. We are only strong if the whole state is strong. Players leaving the state because of frustration is the poison for this state and our success
## Rules
There have to be rules in working together and especially to keep up good diplomatic relations to other alliances. These rules are as follows:
* **Respect NAP 15**
NAP ("**N**on **A**ggression **P**act") ensures safe grow for our alliance without bothering with other top alliances. Our credibility is strongly related on how we appear to other alliances and if we stick to our own rules. We have to be an example for keeping the rules. Breaks therefore will be handled consequently.
Which alliances
**First fail** within past 5 days: warn and demote to R1 for 5 days
**Second fail** within past 5 days: Member is kicked out of alliance and zeroed. Privilege to zero the NAP breaker is at the victim, the victims ally or on our own (in this order)
* **Never zero anyone**
Zeroing causes players to loose motivation and to quit this state. This reduces availability of ressources to us and damages competitiveness of our state in events. So zeroing should only happen in rare cases when alliance leadership (R5 or R4s) explicitly approves zeroing.
**First fail** within past 5 days: warn and demote to R1 for 5 days
**Second fail** within past 5 days: Member is kicked out of alliance and zeroed. Privilege to zero the NAP breaker is at the victim, the victims ally or on our own (in this order)
Depending on individual situation, alliance leadership may deviate from this rule and put weaker or harder punishments
* **Stop attacking when target is 50% or below**
To avoid accidential zeroing, attack of a target should stop as soon as it reaches 50% or below.
**Fail**: R4/5 decides about consequences
* **Obey orders**
With a hundred high power players, we have a special responsibility for the state. This responsibility is taken by all members and controled by alliance leadership (R4/R5). Orders of alliance leadership have to be followed in any case
**Fail**: R4/5 decides about consequences
* **Be reachable (especially during attacks)**
When online (especially when attacking), a member must be reachable for important information of alliance leadership. It might always appear that for whatever reason actions on short notice are required (for example a stop of attack). Everyone has to make sure to listen to alliance chat and in-game mails.
**Fail**: R4/5 decides about consequences
* **No attacks on gathering day**
With Clash of Zones, Monday will be gathering day. Starting 12 hours before gathering day until end of gathering day (game time), no attacks are allowed at all
**Fail**: Same as NAP break
---
Alliance Leader (R5) shows responsible towards other alliances for actions taken by his members. In any case of uncertainty or rule gaps (cases that need handling but no rule applies), the R5 may decide. Decisions should be made taking the following aspects into account in this order:
1. State interests
2. Alliance interests
3. Member interests
All R4 Members are selected because of special capabilities and responsibility of the alliance. In case of R5 not being reachable, they may substitute the R5, take decisions and handle accordingly on their own with the same priority as the alliance leader (R5).
If anything about these rules is unclear or rules are wrong / missing, please discuss that in alliance chat.
## Expectations towards members
There are some expectations that we make towards our members.
👉 **be active** 👈
* *take part in alliance chat*
not only read, but also write 😁
* *help others on Wendells*
even if you already had yours that day
* *reinforce members that are attacked*
This way the member gets protected and we don't risk diplomatic problems with other alliances. Punishment for an attack is to be handled by the aggressors alliance first.
* *donate as much as possible - multiple times a day*
Donating gives you alliance points for which you get valuable items in alliance store like teleports and power ups.
Donating also raises alliance technology. And that brings advantages to all members.
**Make sure your count of possible donations does not reach 25/25**. Because if it does, you most probably have missed the chance to donate something.
**grow**
* please focus on growing continuously
* in base level
* in military power
* in technology
To reach that, make sure your base (building vehicles, military training facilities, Institute, APCs) **never** runs idle!
When the base is busy, it works for you to bring you forward. If it is idle, it does not work for you and the alliance.
**Every minute idleness is bad and hurts a lot! So avoid idleness whatever it takes**
</brBelow>Below you find an example of an continuous cycle that you can do over and over again to avoid having idle capacities in your base:

* If possible, create 2 farm accounts
This should help you always having sufficient ressources at hand to grow.
You can find a guide on how to create a farm account here:
**[Farm Account Guide](https://hackmd.io/@Kartan/rkNGm7YAB)**
## Handling attacks on us
In case of an attack, Uni members must be able to react immediately, but without risking to destroy the relationships between alliances. In case of an attack, members should immediately take the following action:
3.1. Reinforce the attacked member.
3.2. Report the NAP break to state chat and call out R5 / R4 of the attacking party
3.3. Send Mail to Aggressor ("You are attacking a NAP protected target. Please stop")
3.4. If no reaction, you may scout or send an empty (!) APC to catch aggressor's attention

After a NAP break happened, involved alliances have 12hrs time to sort out the issues with R4/R5 diplomatically.
If that does not happen, R5 decides about further steps.

Retaliation can be done by the victim. In case of a significant power difference, alliance leadership (R5 / R4s) can name another player to retaliate.
## Training
Most of our members are new to this game. So it is of special importance to give everyone the required information to best take part in the game and to contribute to our alliance.
To help each other, it is also very valuable to be able to exchange screenshots and discuss about specific topics outside alliance chat. For this purpose we use discord (an app for your smartphone).
Please everyone install the discord app and then follow this **[link to our alliance server](https://discord.gg/TDCNbkW)**

The training section on discord is growing over time. But please jump in and ask if you have questions or if you have problems to solve. We can add them there.
