# GSG new player guide GSG alliance (#711) by Kartan (No English? Translate via [Google Translator]()) ## The alliance ## GSG is your new home. Here you make friends and work on challenges together. The alliance gives you a safe haven to grow and protects you. But the alliance also expects you to be a valuable member. If you are from little value to the alliance, you will be dropped out. This guide explains how to be a valuable member of the alliance. Basic GSG Rules: 1. **respect NAP 15** (never scout or attack top 15 alliances). This is essential and makes our live safer when the mightiest alliances do not attack each other. Disrespect to this rule results in being fired from the alliance. Before attacking anyone, ***always*** check if your target's alliance is surely not in top 15. Check this by: Profile (Commander info top middle of your screen) -> Rankings -> Alliance Power Ranking 1. **grow to be a valuable part of our alliance** In the lost shelter world you are either on top or you are food for the bigger ones. Let us stay on top. We need to grow quickly to stand our ground in the upcoming events against other alliances and states. So keep growing as quickly as possible. 1. **support others to grow as well** Only together we can grow stronger then other alliances. Help your mates to grow stronger too. 1. **respect each other** We are all here to have fun together. Respect each other and also respect your enemies. That means never zero anyone (don't attack his base until it is destroyed at 0% durability which causes the defeated one to be randomly teleported anywhere on the map). We don't want people to be discuraged and stop playing. At least everyone is potential source of resources for us. ## Your Daily Work ## ### Once a day ### **Use Rapid production** Once a day, go through your production buildings and activate "rapid production" on each single production building to get the extra ressources you need to grow quickly ### Always and as frequent as possible ### 1. **Check your in-game mails** There could have been important changes in the state and the alliance. Always check up with the latest information to avoid getting in trouble. Your alliance leadership will share important information via in-game mail. 2. **Keep Production Vehicles in use** When your vehicles don't build something, you don't grow. That's bad. So under any circumstances prevent your vehicles from standing still doing nothing. Keep them building. Later in the game Production Vehicles get the ability to explore the surrounding of your base. Before finishing a day, send them out for exploration which gives additional items 3. **Keep your Institute researching** Researching new technologies gives you many advantages and new strengths. Good practice is to develop in following order: * Rapid Production (up to (not including) paradigm shift) * City development (up to (not including) flexible regulation) * Research APC I (up to (including) hero cooperation) Remember: Every second not researching lets your base fall back behind others 4. **Keep your APCs working** APCs can attack or gather resources. Your APCs should do one of that as often as possible to provide your base with resources required to grow. 4. **Keep military buildings training** The competition does not sleep and many other bases will build up an army. To have a chance, you need to grow strong quickly. This happens by building an army. Build soldiers, shooters and vehicles. Focus on vehicles as they can carry more load and are faster (always build vehicles first, then shooters and soldiers). 5. **Donate to the alliance** Donate to the alliance as much as you can (best until you cannot donate anymore). The items like shield or teleport that you can obtain by donating are extremely valuable and enable very advanced tactics of attack and defense lateron. 6. **Collect rewards** As soon as you see rewards (indicated by red numbers above items in the game screen) collect them. If you are not fast enough, many of these rewards decay quickly. ## Growing stronger quickly ## 1. **Come together in the alliance hive** The "hive" is where the alliance comes together in one location. Within the hive, alliance members protect each other and organize raids on Wendell to gather items and ressources. You get to the hive via an free alliance teleport or via an advanced teleport (400.000 alliance contribution points or 2.000 diamonds) 1. **Maximize your base building** Highest priority is development of your base building. This activates new Buildings that speed up further growth. 1. **Maximize your production facilities** Maximize your production facilities as best as possible as ressources are required to grow- 1. **Watch out for the daily tasks** Winning them provides you with valuable bonuses like diamonds, speedups, resources and more. 1. **Save diamonds and alliance contribution points** These special items allow you to buy items. Amongst others, these allow you to teleport anywhere on the map - for exam 1. **Choice of your class** For the beginning the farmer is a good choice. You will get an additional hourly production of all ressources with the farmer's special building regularly. Later in the game, when you move over from growing to attacking, a switch to class raider makes sense because then you get an extra APC. ## be prepared for an attack ## 1. **put storage buildings on a separate street that you can disconnect easily** In case of an attack, you can easily cut the street (remove one block) and the buildings are not connected to the base anymore. => Your resources are safe. The intruder is not able to get them. ## Starting a really on Wendell ## 1. **Wendells lie** They tell you how many units are required to beat them. But that number is not true. Rough estimation what's really needed: * Wendell Level 1: 5.000 Troops * Wendell Level 5: 65.000 Troops * Wendell Level 10: 150.000 Troops * Wendell Level 15: 300.000 Troops # Advanced techniques # ## Farming ## 1. Create your own farm accounts Good guides on how to create farm accounts can be found on the net. This is one that worked out well for me: [Link](https://www.worldofgeekstuff.com/how-to-create-a-farm-account-in-last-shelter-survival/) 2. Add your Farm Accounts to the GSG Farm alliance This way you are able to harvest your farm by attacking. At the same time, the farm ist protected by the GSG alliance. General rules for farming especially within the farm alliance * Only attack our own farms (or get permission from the owner previous to attacking) * Never zero a farm. It will be randomly teleported away and will be out of reach for a long time * Name your farm in a way that it is clear it is a farm and to whom it belongs. For example "Kartans Farm 1" _Further Ideas and tips? Send in-game mail to me (Kartan)_
