# Request structural change to scrum process
- Way of working request
- Submitted to wednesday overview for implementation

# Argument
Currently it is very hard to see which tasks are actually in progress and which are not. Some tasks are barely being completed or never completed yet never move back to the scrum backlog.
The board feels that adherance to the scrum process is essentail to making Tonomy foundation work and getting it right will improve team cohesion.
It is additionally important that we start to follow the scrum process more because:
* We are going to onboard more developers, especially students, these require more coordination in order to produce something usefull. Improving our process will thus yield actual products.
* We are going to work more with partners on diffrent grants and on combined resources [ See Chefchain ](/4jbrYNCGR0KPK-HUT1joLQ) that will rely on us to have our affairs in order
* We are working with partners who are new to software development in large groups, we will need to teach them.
```gherkin=
Feature: Scrum process now must move tasks backward that are no longer "in progress" within a sprint
# The first example has two steps
Scenario: Multipule tasks have been selected by the Product owner to be implemented in this sprint.
When Scrum master is present in a daily standup
When Scrum master sees multipule tasks in the process lane set assigned
to the same person, a.k.a Chris on 3 tasks
Then the standup must include these tasks in the standup of that day
When the scrum master finds out these tasks are not listed in the
standup
Then the Scum master moves these tasks back to the scrum Backlog
```
```gherkin=
Feature: Product owner no longer allowed to move scrum cards to processing
Scenario: Scrum process looks like it's not being followed
When Product owner sees that the scrum process is not being followed and wants to move cards and assign them anyway
Then The scrum master tells the product owner that he is not allowed to do that and will remove the assignment and push it back to the scrum backlog
```
```gherkin=
Feature: Product owner starts with fresh sprint each new week
Scenario: tasks of previous sprint are not completed to the satisfactory output
When The team has not had their sprint planning yet
Then All unfinished tasks are move into the sprint BACKLOG
When it is not clear to the scrum team what yet has to be done
Then the Scrum master must ask the product owner for clearification
```
