# Motif Style Guide
Motif styles take a while to obtain and this guide can be used as a reference manual during the tedious process of completing them. Motif pages can be found through various in-game activities, and each specific motif tied to a particular location or activity. The following list, going from simpler to more advanced, will contain all the motifs along with advice on how to get them.
### Advanced Writ Knowledge
The probability of master writ drops is not the same at all times. These are tips to maximize the master writ drop chance for each profession:
#### Enchanting
The following achievements are required:
*Potency
Negative Potency
Ruby Potency*
`Ruby potency requires a Hakeijo rune to complete, which is very rare and expensive`
~~Unknown : is Indeko required for max level enchanting?~~
With these a 15% master writ drop rate is achieved
#### Alchemy
Based on ingredient knowledge, getting the achievement for all ingredients means 15% alchemy master writ drop rate.
#### Provisioning
Chance of getting a master writ is based off **purple** and **gold** recipes learned.
#### Jewelry
Chance is directly based off trait knowledge, from researching jewelry traits. There are no styles or motifs associated with jewelry. With all traits learned, you get 15% master writ drop chance.
#### Woodworking, Blacksmithing and Clothing
There are two factors affecting master writ chance. Researching all traits on any of these crafting lines gives a 10% master writ drop chance. Every motif style learned (completely) further increases that probability.
> Motif style knowledge gives diminishing returns, so it's only worth completing on the main character. The easy styles can also be applied to alternative crafters
##### Why Maximize Writ Chance
Master Writs can sell for a lot of gold, and are based on rng tables. This means even a beginner crafter can get lots of gold by selling writs. There are furnishings and achievements only made possible by completing writs. In general, one writ voucher is currently worth around 1k gold, meaning an 80 writ voucher blacksmithing writ, which for example costs 20k in materials to make, can net 60k gold if sold.
Alternatively, maximizing master writ drop chance through motifs gives a good opportunity to make gold, by selling duplicate styles while completing the motif collection.
> We strongly suggest using a notebook addon to keep track of dailies to do in order to have a chance at different motif drops. The main character can go over the list quickly a
