# Kingfisher County Sheriff's Office Standard Operating Procedures
> The following is the Standard Operating Procedures for the Kingfisher County Sheriff's Office in the State of Medora. From time to time, this Standard Operating Procedure may be amended to reflect a change in Department Policy. When this occurs, department members shall be made aware with a 48 hour comment period. The contents of this Standard Operating Procedures document shall be available to the public and considered public information.

## I | Introduction
### § 1 | Mission Statement
It shall be the objective of the Kingfisher Sheriff's Office to serve and protect the poeple of Kingfisher County with integrity and prosperity and enforce the Laws of Kingfisher County, the State of Medora, and the United States of America.

All sections in this document and other documents should be cited to in all official documentation or correspondence. This document shall be cited with the following:

### § 3 | Notice of Binding
The contents of this document are to be followed by all employees who fall under the Kingfisher Sheriff's Office General Employment Contract. This document falls under the Binding Policy clause of the Kingfisher Sheriff's Office General Employment Contract.
## II | Department Structure and Organization**
### § 1 | Heirarchy
The following are ranks that have been established in the Kingfisher County Sheriff's Office. This section lays out their duties and responsibilities and the general chain of command.
#### Sheriff of Kingfisher County | Central Command
The Sheriff of Kingfisher County is responsible for overseeing the Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff also works with all levels of government to ensure the Sheriff's Office follows and maintains all governmental regulations and directives.
#### Undersheriff of Kingfisher County | Central Command
The Undersheriff of Kingfisher County is responsibile for assisting the Sheriff in their duties as overseeing the Sheriff's Office. The Undersheriff works with the Assistant Sheriff's to ensure the department's day to day operations run smoothly.
#### Assistant Sheriff of Kingfisher County | Central Command
The Assistant Sheriffs of Kingfisher County is tasked with managing day to day operations and administrative functions of the Kingfisher County Sheriff's Office. The Assistant Sheriffs are responsible to working with all divisions to ensure regulations are met.
#### Captain | Administration
Captains are responsible for managing all aspects of their bureau.
#### Lieutenant | Administration
Lieutenants are tasked with overseeing their division and their subordinates.
#### Sergeant | Supervisor
Sergeants are tasked with managing their unit. Sergeants shall serve as the first supervisor within the Chain of Command.
#### Corporal | Supervisor (Preliminary
Corporals are tasked with assisting their Sergeant in the managing of their unit. Sometimes tasked with leading certain teams within the Sheriff's Office. Corporals shall be the preliminary supervisor dealing with issues in their unit.
#### Deputy First Class
Deputy First Classes are senior deputies within the Sheriff's Office. Also granted for membershp within certain specialized divisions.
#### Deputy
Basic member of the Sheriff's Office.
#### Cadet
Civilian Employees undergoing training within the Department. Cadets may not take any law enforcement action and can only recommend it to their supervising deputy.
### 2 | Department Structure
The Sheriff's office consists of many different elements. Each with their own responsibilities.
#### Central Command
Central Command consists of the Sheriff, Undersheriff, Assistant Sheriffs, and one administrative assistant with the rank of Deputy First Class.
#### Patrol Operations Bureau
The Patrol Operations Bureau consists of the majority of the employees within the Sheriff's Office. This bureau consists of all patrol units and the auxiliary patrol unit.
##### **Patrol Services Division A**
The Patrol Services Division constites of Patrol Unit A & B.
##### **Patrol Services Division B (DEFUNCT)**
The Patrol Services Division B consists of Patrol Unit C & D, and the Auxiliary Patrol Unit
**Auxiliary Patrol Unit**
The Auxiliary Patrol Unit is a small unit that is part time within the department.
