# What will happened if we change the submission flow? ## Background The initial plan is to have 1 submission with maximum 20 items. Each item will have it's own product information & detail provided by consignor. In the future, we wanted to reduced the number of information provided by consignor to only brand and number of items. ## Overall Implication - We will not have product information during submission, which means this product information need to be added by merch team during valuation - Do we still need to do pre-valuation for apparel? - Please do remember that the bags will have it's own flow ## Data implications - consignor_items - To reduce changes in backend, consignor_items table will be populated during product valuation, not during submission - consignor_submissions - Still need to be created during submission - consignor_submission_brief (name can be changed) - New table only to track the number of items and brand that consignor submit in a particular apparel submission - Table column: - id - submission_id - num_of_items - brand ## Frontend implications - During submission flow: - Remove add submission page & add item modal - Add page / modal to add num of item with it's brand - Question: - When a submission status is submitted: - Can consignor edit the submission? - Can they click on the submission and see the submission detail? - During pre-valuation flow: - Question: - Only for apparel, do we still need pre-valuation flow? Or all submitted submission will be approved, and submission status will be changed to ready for shipment - In Matilda, what information do we need to show to Merch team for submission with submitted status? - Shipment flow: - We might need to change this page to remove the list of item screen - On second thought, do we need a mechanism to match actual items send by consignor with consignor submission data? - Valuation flow: - Assuming that this is the steps where Merch will fill in product information: - Need screen to add product information - Question - In the current bags flow, valuation is the steps where ST will take a profesional photo of the product. Since for apparel, consignor don't have any chance to negotiate, and consignor don't know how much do we offer for the item until they see our proposal, do you think it will bring higher probability for the consignor to cancel the consignment? If yes, then we there will be risk of wasting time to do profesional photo shot (or we can just do good enough photo with phone at this step) - Proposal flow: - Question: - Does consignor need to be able to see the information filled by ST? If yes, where will they be able to see this information?
