# Trading basics
## Set up
#### 1. Account creation
- Go to [currency.com/trading/platform/trade](https://currency.com/trading/platform/trade)
- Once your account is created, you do not need to validate your email, press "Explore platform".
- In the upper right corner switch the site to demo mode
#### 2. View configuration
- First, you need to select the currency you want to trade.
We are going to trade **bitcoin /USD**. Search it on the trade tab then press the add to chart button 
- Once you have added bitcoin to your chart page, go to the chart tab and configure the view in order to have the necessary information for trading
You need to select candle mode :

And put it to daily

Well played, you are now ready to trade !
## Trading Workshop
#### 1. Common orders
Buy bitcoin for a quantity of 50USD at market price
#### 2. Conditional orders
Place a limit buy order at 41000$ and manage your risk to a 4% loss with the appropriate order type.
#### 3. Level to level trading
- Enter in market at a chosen support level and manage your risk according to it (2/3% below is an idea)
- Place a take profit order on a chosen resistance level

##### Some usefull definitions :
- **Common orders** :
- **Market order** : buy or sell at market current price for a specific amount
- **Limit order** : buy or sell the asset at a chosen price for a specific amount
- **Conditionnal order** : They are limit order placed in order book when a price reach a certain price level, here the two most used stop limit orders in trading
- **Stop loss** : is a sell order used commonly for managing the risk of owning an asset. It consists in placing a limit order when the price comes too far below a specific level (usually buy price)
- **Take profit** : is also a sell order used to be placed at target prices if it’s going up to secure profit margins.
- **Professionals** :
- **Market maker** : Market maker fill the order book of a broker, quote both parties (buyer and a seller) the price of an asset. They drive liquidity and reduce volatility on the exchanges
- **Institutional trader** : Institutional trader buy and sell asset for accounts they manage for a group or institution
- **Broker** : Broker is a firm that acts as an intermediary between the cryptocurrency markets to facilitate buying and selling of cryptocurrencies (like binance)
- **Peoples** :
- **Retail investor** : A retail investor, also known as an individual investor, is a non-professional investor who buys and sells securities. Generally less active than a retail trader
- **Retail trader** : A retail trader is an individual trader who trades with money from personal wealth
