###### tags: `article` `philosophy` # Life - the Process to Develop to Evolve The only thing of absolute certainty is, that `I am`. It is equivalent to that `life is`. The only thing I can do is `developing`. It is equivalent to that `life is evolving`. ## The Process The most basic law by which all life is run by is the [second law of thermodynamics](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_law_of_thermodynamics). This results in how the process of life is guided by self-optimzation. (capitalism?) This yields the interesting idea, that the most basic will of life is to self-optimize. therefore guiding all cells and even molecules before to develop on themselves and thus let life evolve. **A direct consequence of this self-optimization is the tendency to self-organize if multiple components of life interact.** This creates a next level structure which again is inherently self-optimizing. This process is effectivly managing entropy in such a smart way that life could appearently reduce entropy to achieve greater organized complexity locally. ## The Process from Perspective of a Human Being We are happy if see how our body is a beautiful self-organizing structure and we see ourself being part of a beautiful self-organizing outer structure. We are inherently driven to to self-optimize and thus naturally behave in a optimal self-organizing fashion. It is paramount to understand that our mind is the first layer of life that has the capability to formally understand things. Which both provides us with greater power how far our optimization may reach - as well as delusions which easily make us behave counterproductive. The awesome thing is that every form of life which is living in this level. Would be able to communicate in this way and carry it's self-organizing/self-optimizing intelligence into this communication. Neither we should feel too small about it nor too big. The next level structure would not understand our written words here and is effectively a result of it. You need to accept your peers' culture, how nations and societies interact as similarily as the nature of your muscles and your metabolism to work with it rather than burdening yourself with the illusion of higher responsibility about these layers. Especially for the layer above us - because we are actually the active building blocks of it and thus have our responsibility in how it will self-organize. Here it is very easy to fall into this pitfall because if we raise in power socially it provides us and our peers with the illusion of us having achieved more optimal level of self. While this may be true - it might also be a delusion and thus actually hurting the self-organization process of the next level causing it to behave much less intelligently than it naturally would. More fatal is even if our priority then becomes to optimize our social position rather then focus on our natural self-optimization process. Our position in the social structure is more subject to the self-organization process of the society and would optimally be driven only indirectly be a result of our self-optimization. This is also the reason why we intuitivly hate people who do that. It would not help us or life in general to evolve optimally. While it is okay to point out these logical pitfals - it is just natural that things don't work out perfectly. Overall it is a good assumption that the natural intelligence driving every element into its selfoptimization resulting in an optimal self-organization of the next level and on works well and that it is the same intelligence driving your behaviour as well. This we might take up into our identity as a core pillar. To not forget how much we are connected to the process of life like everything and everyone else. Your are not just connected - you are the pivot point. ## Identity Identity is a virtual image of my mind based to a large part on my physicality. This aligns well with the idea that my cells each have their own identity and I am merely the result of all those cells self-organizing. The DNA which could be both regarded as the construction-plan as same as their self-organization-manifesto has also it's valid position within my identity when framed it in this way. Also my identity is very much related to my believes - I would not say they are based on my identity they are rather tangled up within eachother.
