# Yunnan AAR
Overview for those not familair with China:

King Leeroy stood on the stairs of his palace, he sniffed the air. It smelled like WAR. The Ming collapse happened nearly a decade before, china has been calm but it's different now, it smelled different.

Quickly messengers were sent and they reported grave news, our rival to the north Sechuan, has allied the rival to the south HongKong. To balance this an alliance with Firelord Ozai was quickly established. Leeroy's son Noohac married Princess Azula a long time ago so this seemed like the logical next step.
But this was not the end of the troubles, Henan and Zhejiang both allied our enemies as well. The beacons were lit but the northern Chinese state could not spend a lot of reinforcements because of hostilities between the hordes and the Hermit kingdom aligned themself with the hordes.


A meeting was called between Leeroy and Ozin, they greeted each other with smiles but both were unease at the alliance chain around them. In a secret meeting with the top generals, no viable plan could be made, apart from Noohacs rambling "Just kill them dad Leeroy". Overall the plan was to increase in strength focus our military development and prey an opportunity arose soon.

The first test of battle was the war vs the kingdom of Sacrificial boar, soon all parties were involved; the mighty Kingdom of Yunnan, The Firelord's from Firenation, the sauce people from Sechuan and even the merchants from HongKong descended on the land. For the Sauce people declared a war of aggression, no term, no goal, just war. All of China was in shock in this. Quickly lord Ozai declare his own (fair) war and occupied vital lands so that the rivals could not. The gold mine of Hengyang fell under direct rule from Hong Kong but the rest was divided between our alliance. With our supply lines now connected a war to cut off the southern expansion of Hong Kong was planned.


The war vs Fujiang was, some historians say the deciding point of southern china, both Firelord Ozai and Hong Kong Fought for control over this small duchy. Ozai knew this was vital and ask Leeroy for help, this was a risk it would leave his borders weakened for a time but damnit it man no guts no glory. The gamble seemed to pay off 90% of Fujiang was in Firelord Ozai control when the Duke offered his allegiance to Ozai if he helped him fight Hong Kong.

When this message was delivered to Ozai he was in a war meeting with Leeroy and the generals. The generals recently made a significant breakthrough in the field of military technology but they all feared this would leak to their enemies within a year. So when the messenger arrived Ozai and Leeroy debated it quickly, but decided to accept the offer. Henan and Zhejiang were busy fighting maybe this was the change they needed to win.

They accepted, and we marched to war once more, desperate to use our technological superiority while we could we wanted to engage the Hong Kong army before they could link with their allies in Sechuan. Soon the HongKong troops had nowhere to run and the battle would commence in Limchow, Fire Lord Ozai and his troops were a week out. Would we wait for them or would we engage? The Sechuan troops were nowhere to be seen and the gamble paid off with Henan and Zhejiang who, for now, were not involved in the war. The battle war brutal the technological superiority meant the whole army of Hong Kong was routed, Fire lord Ozai quickly send troops to take control of the provinces so that they could not raise a new army. When news arrived from our march Belgium. They have spotted the Sechuan troops on route to relieve Hong Kong, the messenger said they would stand and fight and pray to God almighty that this message arrived on time and Leeroy would be able to send troops to help. Leeroy looked at his men, they were tired, if they marched them north now instead of celebrating he risked revolt. Unless...


"Solder of Yunnan, our Friends of the Fire nation, THE DAY IS OURS! No living man can beat our army, our focus on military innovation paid off. You all fought hard and deserve to feast, to celebrate this victory. (pause to receive praise). My Friends, I am about to ask you something I have no right to, we have received news from our Belgium friends, they are going to try to intercept the Sechuan relieve force. They will fail if we don't march north, they will fall if we don't relieve them. I can not order any of you to do this, I will ride north, and I ask you all as my friends to join me." A silence took hold of the camp, seconds felt like minutes until Noohac stood up. He kissed his wife and son and looked to his Father "I shall ride with you, for the Belgiums have fought beside us for many years and I can not let them die" and with the words of prince Noohac, it seemed like the whole army stood up, grabbed their gear and reported for duty.

It were 2 gruesome weeks, barely news from the Belgiums, their last message said they fortified on a hill behind a river and that battle seems likely, that message was a week ago when Leeroy saw the smoke on the horizon. He ordered the cavalry to charge and scout, if the Belgiums were still fighting they were supposed to instantly charge. Noohac rode with them. When Leeroy arrived with the infantry he saw the lines holding, His son Noohac drove them back a bit and if he could get his men in position the battle was won. It was close, but with the reinforcements of King Leeroy, the battle was won. After the battle he looked around, he called his son Noohac. No reply came. Noohac was found, severely wounded. Leeroy prayed to the god and rallied the troops.


With the Sechuan troops in full retreat, Leeroy marched on the fortress city of Chengdu, during this march however he saw traces of an army marching here before. The Sechuan people marched this same route. In his mind, Leeroy assumed they would not reorganize at the fortress surely they will go deep in the land for safety. When arriving at Chengdu with the Yunnan army and the Belgium friends he saw what's left of the Sechuan army waiting around the city for him. Demoralized and broken. Instantly he ordered his men to assault before they could regroup. It was a slaughter, no Sechuan army was left after that battle. The Lost People used this moment to rise up and demand their independence. When news of this reached Canton, the grand council surrendered to the Yunnan and Fire Nation troops, his final words are lost since he was beheaded by Ozai after he said them.


Leeroy arrived home after the war, his rivals crushed. But his mind was not with Yunnan at this moment, his mind was with his son Noohac, he rushed into Noohacs room, just to found it empty. Some say this is when Leeroy broke. He changed from a cheerful uplifting Mod to a depressed one bend on destruction. In a fit of rage, he declared war on Guanxi and Dai Viet. The war was easily won due to the bruteness of Leeroy.

Without Noohac Leeroys will to life was just gone. As soon as his grandson Qiyu came of age Leeroy walked off never to be seen again. Qiyu made a deal with the Lost people in the north; He would help them vs the Tibetians in exchange for some of the lands they took from the Sauce people. This war took 5 years mainly due to nobody got time to actually march over all of Tibet to siege down those OPMs fuck that.

After that King Qiyu set his eyes on the remaining Hong Kong land. The island of Hainan was in war with the merchants of Hong Kong and were winning. So the King waited until the war was over. With Hainan now in control Yunnan once again marched to war. The kingdom of Champa honored its alliance and defended it. Their combined forces were no match for the might of Yunnan and quickly Champa begged for peace. The King was going to demand money from them but then Prince Maijla the ruler of Champa offered his fealty instead. Qiyu accepted and with them out of the way he focused on Hainan again.

A small error meant the FireNation took control of these provinces instead of the Kingdom of Yunnan. This was quickly fixed.

The Kingdom of Yunnan, weakened by war fixed its economy and is making a profit now. It has many great forts that will beat back any possible invader, the future of Yunnan and king Qiyu looks bright.
