# How to Backup QVR Pro Recordings ###### tags: `QVR Pro` `Tutorial` ## Introduction If you use Recording Backup in QVR Pro Server. * you can Backup to other NAS * you can set up the Backup schedule * When the destination space is full. you can select to Stop backup or delete the oldest recording data ## Before you start * ensure that you have selected “Use Recording File Explorer to access recordings” in Recording File Explorer page * ensure that you disable Recycle bin for the export folder * ensure that the version is QVR Pro 1.3.0(or later) ## Setting 1. Open QVR Pro > Recordings Management. ![](https://i.imgur.com/a2tkt04.gif) 2. Click the Recording Backup tab > Create Task. ![](https://i.imgur.com/Rg17WCP.png) 3. Fill in the information: * Task name * IP address: Entry NAS IP * Username: Entry NAS username * Password: Entry NAS password * Path: path to the directory in which you’d like to store your backup recordings. For example : QVRProRecordoing/backup **Note : ensure that directory must be exist.** Click “Test” to see if connection to the folder has no problems. Configure your desired settings on this page, then click “Finish”. **Note: you can only import QVI format recordings, so it is suggested to backup QVI format if you are planning to import the backup recordings in the future.
