# How to use RTMP on QVR Pro?

## Why you need to use RTMP?
1. You want to record the stream, but the stream of the device does not have the public IP
2. You want to record some 360 camera, it may support RTMP protocol.
3. You want to record the stream from any RTMP-supported device.
## System requirement
1. QVR Pro 1.2.1.5 (or later)
2. The device that supports send RTMP stream to RTMP server in QVR Pro
## How to set the RTMP function?
1. Add a RTMP channel in QVR Pro

Caution: A single RTMP channel only supports be connected by single stream provider. If you want to use 2 RTMP device, you need to create 2 RTMP channels.
2. Get the RTMP link and stream key information

Function at: choose the “RTMP” icon at the “Action” column in the “Add Camera” page.
Note: You may need to prepare a public IP for QVR Pro, then you could let QVR Pro record the stream at public environment.
3. Paste the RTMP information into the RTMP client software

We use the OBS software for the demo, copy the RTMP link to the server input (in this case, you need to erase the key value at the last), and copy the stream key to the stream key input in OBS.
4. Click the  to start to submit the stream to the QVR Pro.
