Full House Resorts, Inc. announced today that its American Place gaming and entertainment destination proposal has been selected by the Illinois Gaming Commission as the final license approval target. American Place was originally one of five proposals submitted in response to a "request for proposals" to develop and operate a new casino and entertainment destination in Waukegan, Illinois. Today's decision marks the culmination of a competitive selection process that began in 2019.

"We are grateful for the Illinois Gaming Commission's confidence in Full House Resort and for selecting our American Place proposal," said Daniel R. Lee, Chairman and CEO of Full House Resort. "We will start American Place immediately by developing and building a temporary casino in Waukegan, Illinois. We will be able to quickly create jobs and generate tax revenue while a permanent American Place facility is being built through the name American Place, a planned temporary facility. We expect to open temporary facilities in the middle of 2022."

President Lee continued, "The permanent American Place facility is designed as a global destination for the residents of nearby Chicago Land and the entire region, and will include high-end amenities such as the Olvilla Hotel with full-butler service," adding, "We are happy to have the opportunity to realize our American Place vision while we are expected to join the Waukegan community and complete the full experience in 2024."
