# Distributed Press Project Management ####### tags: `distributedpress` ## Meeting 4 Dec 2023 ### Agenda * Work scope * Mai been spread thin with taskboard and meetings. * Mai gonna focus more on comms and FFDW reltionship * Need someone to help with just the project board and timelines * Ania's ideas: * "Product Owner" role: Focus is to be aware of customers and users needs. Be the person to defend that inside the team. Someone that has the "product" in focus * "Program": Part of control acheivements that you want to accomplish, e.g. relationships between coops. Not just product but also alignment with mission and relationships * "Project Manager", take budet and time and scope and there to talk to folks and make sure communications, check who is blocked and who is advancing, proposing meetings. More helping people connect. Less decision making. Maybe we need something more product driven? Maybe more about relationships? * Currently thinking about the third role for now. * Things are changing, Hypha side thinking more about how to productise DP, fundraising, grants. * Not ready for product role yet. * Know Ania is great and knows the space so would be good for raising any issues that come up. * Maybe we can revisit product side in future? * Should have meetings to revisit the scope and the goal. Which features, which prototypes. Keep ourselves closer to that scope. Be more active on when to put stuff in backlog and focus on priorities. * 80% focus on getting things done on time, 20% on adjusting for changes * Time commitment * 1day a week? What sort of availability? * Have 1day a week availability right now. * Can start in dec but will be more free in Jan. * Like idea of one entire day. Likely will need to do an hour monday and do rest another day, but would be good to do one day. * Maybe make work day be Thursday? * Role would be through September 2024, for however long she's interested and able to stay in it * Compensation * What amount? * Can we include it in the sutty invoices? * Could start a "payoneer" account. But just make sure our Github project board is updated. * Not sure if non software aspects are tracked in the project board yet * Communication * Who is there other than just Hypha and Sutty? * We have a dev channel * Mauve works directly with Akhilesh about how codebase is built * Mauve likes to work in 2-3 week sprints * Product backlog * Next steps: * Start this thurs? * Need to figure out bank stuff. Unsure what is best in terms of taxes and exchange.
