# `Install Ubuntu on Windows 10`

1. Run the following commands as administrator

$ dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:Microsoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux /all /norestart
$ dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:VirtualMachinePlatform /all /norestart

2. Restart your PC
3. Go to the website below to download Ubuntu on Windows

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/ubuntu/9nblggh4msv6?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

4. Launch it.
It will ask you to set your own username and password.
You can set it as long as you like, don't need to be the same as your PC username&password.
