- **"Roleplay To See" (RP2C) has been brought up.** - Staff is actively watching all the discussions and trying to figure out the best ways to address things as a staff team. - With this, if you are asking a mechanical question, it's covered in the #FAQs in the Discord. - Mechanic based questions are fine for the Discord (#support is a good place to ask). - For specific systems like "how do I do x ingame" those are things you can ask other players while ingame. - **Whitelisting rounds are still the current system for bringing new players into the server.** - There's a post in the #staff-messages channel that allows you to react and get an alert before the Whitelist Applications open. - We also post things like this on Twitter: https://twitter.com/wild_west_rp - **The Next Whitelisting Round is July 29th, at 7pm ET.** - https://wildwestrp.com/threads/whitelisting-schedule-apps-re-opening-july-29th-at-7pm-eastern-time.4597/ - https://twitter.com/Wild_West_RP/status/1281795088595771393 ## Management Section (Lead By Frank Devine and William Hayes) - **Community Advisors are being phased out.** - Mods and CAs were mostly moved into a general "Staff" position. - **We are looking into changes to the Player Report system.** - We'll keep you posted of any changes there. - **Make sure you are making reports if you run into issues.** - This is how we keep the roleplay high and fun here. - If you have an experience ruined for you, there's no reason to let it happen to someone else. - You can DM the person (or ask staff to figure out who is was for you) for minor incidents or people you think are new and need some advice. - The alternative is putting in a Player Report. - If you have questions on what you should do, you can always open a #support ticket on the Discord and ask. ## Admin Section (Lead By Sarah Connor and George Cook) - **All player reports are handled by at least 2 people, one Admin and a Manager, or both Admins.** - **Don't be afraid to submit Player Reports.** - The last few have been some good reports, and we are always happy to see reports where people are civil and the issues get resolved. ## Development Section (Lead By Ty Byrne) - **Make sure you are always checking those Changelogs.** - They always list the new commands and changes and are easy to read. - https://wildwestrp.com/forums/changelogs.64/ - **Henry Houser has been working on a new Horse Tack System.** - Here's a video showing off how this will work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2hTtUfJTkY - **Big thanks to the Devs for their continuing work on improving the server.** - We've come so very far from how ## Community Advisory Section (Lead By Frank Devine) - **The Media Team is working on some new content that will release in the future.** - Now lead by Josiah Shepard. ## Governor Section (Lead By Frank Devine) - **This is the last Month for Frank Devine as the Governor.** - **Elections Announcement and Information:** - https://wildwestrp.com/threads/summer-state-election-announcement-governor-legislator.7934/ - **State Representatives are up for Election as well.** - **Frank Devine will step into an advisor role when the next Governor moves in.** - A big thanks to Frank for stepping up and running the Government this entire time! - **There have been quite a few general Government Meetings.** - We are getting everyone on the same page moving forward. - This helps us to address everyone's concerns. ## Law Enforcement Section (Lead By Ty Byrne (Acting Marshal Tory Whelan) - **Apps are still open, fire one in if you are interested in becoming a recruit.** - **Bounty hunting is still being designed, but we are putting the finishing touches on the system currently.** - You may have seen a forum with no apparent use as a spoiler (progress to get things setup). ## Judiciary Section (Lead By Frank Devine) - **Justice Applications were opened and Frank will be going through them and appointing new judges soon.** ## State Representative Section (Lead By Frank Devine and Elydia Beaumonte) - **Thanks for the awesome turnout to the Public Forum**. ## Questions and Answers (Lead By William Hayes) - **Quality of roleplay slipping.** - Please make sure to report those and help police those who aren't roleplaying properly or are breaking rules. - We can't fix what we do not see or know about. - You can always ask in #support and find out if it's something that should be reported. - **Remove shotguns?** - We don't have plans to remove them currently. - If you want to suggest it, we can toss it into a poll to see what the community wants. - Polls give us direct feedback of the community's opinions. - We removed many of the shotguns that are easier to abuse, but shotguns have a valid use for wild-life. - **Why are we push to remember its 1899 but when things like law have laws from 1900s. Why we pushing for future things then enjoying the times of the 1800s are you planing to change the year?** - We are staying in 1899 as the game date for the forseeable future - We aren't beholden to just the laws that were at the time. - Our focus is to keep it still feeling Wild West, but also be fun and fit the needs of the community. - **Since you're opening the whitelisting cycle for 100 new players every 2 weeks, are you gonna start opening up new servers, or up the player count on each server?** - Adding more slots isn't an option, OneSync doesn't exist for RedM currently. - When it comes to opening apps, we watch the queues to make sure they don't go made and choose the wait time by what the queues look like. - If you are always trying to get into the same full server, it's probably a good time to try out another server that has slots! - **How often are the roleplay workshops?** - Frank runs these rougly once a month, but it's more or less when there's a decent amount of interest and when it's needed. - Frank tries to place these after a whitelisting opening so people can lessen their anxiety of joining the server. - **It should be mandatory that people do their research on the era, and to keep the GTA V mentality out of Red Dead rp.** - We won't force someone to do History homework before joining the server. - Breaking the time period is a rule break though, so feel free to report it or reach out to them! - **Is there anything in the works to balance out law and crime rp rather than throwing all criminals away for hours to get them out the way?** - Sometimes people do serve a long time, but most are shorter sentences. - Only those that do the worst get the worst times. - We do our best to balance things. - If you keep committing many crimes, you will keep getting max times. - We also have Town Banishment for those who repeatedly commit crimes. - **Are fines going to be reworked?** - When it comes to fines, they are already being reworked. - **Can we add better hunting for big game, I have had a elk perfect arrow and it was worth 4 dollars 3 for the body 1 for the skin, can we fix the hunting econonomy?** - That sounds like a bug to report, it should be much more (unless you ruined the pelt, or it was a deer). - **Can a person request additional time for Jail RP if they desire?** - Sure! - Reach out to the LEO and let them know you want more than the max. - **Is a character that is 16 years old, classed as a child or an adult?** - They would be considered an adult as we don't have separate results. - **Is it wrong to treat a women character the same as a male? If a female character is able to hold up, rob, be an outlaw etc or even if they are a female deputy. Is classed as taboo and wrong the threaten or be hostile towards a female character.** - People can give you crap in roleplay, but there's no rule against robbing any player based on sex, race, etc. - **A lot of us have SOs in game with characters, but even now most of those characters don't log in to RP as those SOs, so is the relationship even there if the other half of the relationship doesn't play?** - That's entirely up to you. - You can end your relationship and say they ran off or whatever you prefer. - **When will you add more horse breeds and horses into the servers?** - All breeds/coats which are available are currently in the server or purposefully held back for events and prizes. - Remember that not every stable has the same horses, and not all the Horse Stores are marked on the map or well known! - **Hello, with the riverboat casino and rafts is there any talk about implementing activities in the water?** - There are already - **Do you believe that the law in WWRP is becoming too modern and not staying true to the period of 1899?** - There's nothing too modern in there currently. - The Governor and the Management Team are able to Veto options coming in. - **Whats your opinion/thoughts on players potentially becoming a more "Civilian" employee of the Sheriff department? I.E. Private investigators or a secretary to help deal with Lawyers, fine collection, etc.** - Reach out to the LEO in character or write to a Sheriff/Under-Sheriff and see what they can do. - When it comes to Private Investigators, there's nothing to stop an individual Deputy from using your services, so feel free to reach out in Character and offer your services (they won't get department funds to spend on you though). - **Is there any limit on asking people to role play as other characters for them? What would you recommend when making a character for them to play as? Any chance you guys might want to be making a channel for people who are looking for others to play as characters for other peoples stories, something like a help wanted sign?** - It's best to make these things happen organically in roleplay. - You can always use Telegrams and post some posters in the Discord noticeboard channel to get people together! - **I saw a VOD of Law Enforcement finding a player campsite that was left behind and making a comment along the lines of "This was all man-made" as in player-made, and using that knowledge to assume that it belonged to the player they were after. Is this kind of reasoning considered meta knowledge?** - Without seeing a video of this, it's hard to say anything specific. - It could have been something that they noticed changed from their last patrol past and that was their way of mentioning it.
