--- tags: WWRP --- # WildWest RP Staff Meeting Notes | 12/04/2020 (4pm-6pm ET) --- Meeting Notes --- __Attendants: (16 @ 4:04pm ET)__ ![Attendants](https://i.imgur.com/aPWpmtI.png) ## William Hayes - **Staff meetings are pretty infrequent due to how well everyone communicates using Discord.** - If you feel one is needed, please reach out to Management. - **Thanks to the staff for showing up!** - **The Trial Staff have all done a great job and all are being promoted to Moderator!** - Good job to everyone involved! - They get an ingame menu to spectate, kick and do other important tasks. - Sarah Connor can explain this menu and usage well. - **Staff applications are likely to get openeded again.** - We may be getting busier with possibly more streamers being active on the server. - We need additional staff so that current staff can take breaks and don't get burned out. - **Thanks again to everyone on the staff for people putting in the work.** - We couldn't have gotten this far without you all being so dedicated and helping out with everything! - **There may be some larger streamers showing up later today, MoonsHouse and TehJamJar.** - MoonsHouse is coming back and will probably be playing here. - They are planning on starting streams at 7pm ET. - It looks like about 6 streamers will show up together. - At 5:33pm ET they seem to be in Queue and one is in the server. - **We had Deerhorn (Chief) streaming the server with 900 people watching.** - **These larger streamers will likely bring more players we need to handle and more whitelist applications as well as support requests.** - **CAs have been doing a great job of picking up on tickets compared to where we were a short few months ago.** - Frank Devine has been doing a great job getting the CAs up to speed and getting some amazing people in those positions. - **We have had some issues with staff being abrasive in public channels.** - Despite what we feel about players or how crappy they are being, we need to be as respectful as possible. - Politely directing them to the #faqs for example compared to throwing out some attitude will always be a better look to everyone. - It's always good to send people to support as that isn't straight public where everyone is watching and commenting. - **How do the Mods feel that the Whitelist process is going post CFX/Rockstar API Fix?** - It's good so far, the team has been keeping up. - If you feel someone isn't going to work out well in roleplay or similar: - Make sure to ask other Moderators. - We prefer to put people on hold vs denying them, but with a second opinion, you can always deny. - _**Bocephus Dredge**_ asked about using information from other server owners against those in whitelist apps. - Hayes: We'll let them act and judge them based on what we see here. If they link video that proves they are poor roleplayers that can help with the decision on the application though. - _**Bocephus Dredge**_ asked about using no punctuation in apps being something to deny for. - Hayes: As long as they meet the requirements it's fine. Writing style doesn't really reflect on vocal roleplay in game. - _**Bocephus Dredge**_ asked about others helping people helping write applicaitons. - Hayes: There have been cases of people with disabilities and similar and this rarely happens. If it's something you find, forward it to an Admin to figure out. - Plagiarism is pretty easy to catch, especially if it is word for word. - _**Sarah Connor**_ Noted making sure that people go through the On-Hold applications and also deny the ones that have been On-Hold for longer than a week - Hayes: We should be looking at the forum as much as possible before handling new applications. We have had a few people sit longer than 24 hours after correcting their On-Hold application. - **Having a public server as well was brought up in the chat.** - That's a No-Go for William Hayes. - We don't have issues getting players and toxicity is easy to breed in an attached public server. - As more players come to RedM they will play other public servers and see media from us and that cream will rise up to Whitelisted servers like us anyway. - **The idea of a public server was discussed with "Recommendations" from existing members to help with whitelisting.** - We may change some of the whitelist process in the future, but this isn't something we want to do here. - Having other players gatekeeping who comes into the community isn't a great look. - Fracturing the incoming players will eventually leave to less new blood in the server as well. - This isn't something that is needed currently, nor would it be the right path for WWRP. - **Closing applications during certain periods was brough up in chat.** - We aren't at the point where that is required nor where it would be comfortable to do so. - If we get a massive amount of people incoming in the future we will look into it. - This is something to address when we get there. - **Other established servers will eventually open for RedM and do what they can to pull players and streamers.** - WildRP for example will release and are catering and giving advantages to streamers to get them to play there (we don't do this). - We will do what we can to provide the best experience so that we will always have people coming here and staying here. - **Will we allow streamers to have their chat report the scenario with given permission?** - You need to be involved (there watching in the server) to report it still. - We won't make changes for the streamers specifically. - **When it comes to streamers in the server, they need to follow the rules like anyone else.** - We don't give priority queue to streamers. - We don't give money to streamers. - We don't write exceptions to rules for streamers. - We don't want to sacrifice our great roleplay and fun for the community for views. ## Dev Discussion - **Henry Houser has been working on a new Character Creator!** - It's about 1 week off of testing and 2 weeks off of release. - **We are mainly waiting on this for the server economy wipe.** ## Economy Wipe. - **We will give 1 week of notice to people about the wipe.** ## Francis "Frank" Devine's Procedure Change Suggestions - **Whitelist change suggestions:** - Expanding the scenarios and changing them to things we see more often in the server. - _**Admins/Mods please come up with a scenario and send them to William Hayes**_ - We will change them to 4 scenarios. - Asking people to explains more rules. - Maybe add a small line in the rules that we ask about in the application. - Add a question to explain RDM on the application. - _**We are making it a project to expand and perfect the whitelist app.**_ - **Maybe add a probationary period to newly whitelisted people.** - We need a discussion on this. - We need a discussion of what would break that probation. - We'd need a staff vote to pass this. - Duration would need to be discussed and decided as well. - **Open floor on the Whitelist Probationary Period** - 2 Week Probation seems to be fair with everyone. - First offense a warning about losing whitelist. - Second offense removes the whitelist. - **Whitelist Application Character Age limits** - We don't have one set currently. - We make it clear that RP has to be appropriate for the character's age. - If something inappropriate with underage characters is noted, feel free to message the Admins or Management and they will put a stop to it. - We don't encourage anyone to create a character younger than 16. - **Discussion on Nudity Roleplay and similar unrealistic behavior to the period.** - If you see something you feel is off, it's totally fine to socially enforce this things by shaming them and being disgusted or similar. ## Admin Section - **Player Reports are to be handled by Admins.** - If you feel things need to be closed due to arguing, reach out to the Admins. - We like to give people the rope to hang themselves on reports and will hide namecalling and similar if it gets bad without locking reports. - **If there is information around reports, make sure that information goes in the report.** - Unless something is needed to be kept private, it's best to keep all of the data public. - The player reports are a learning experience for everyone to see. - If someone reaches out to you in PMs, make sure to mention opening a Player Report.
