## William Hayes / General
- Current Finances: https://i.imgur.com/5hxIIF5.png
- Monthly costs should go down to $80USD/month.
- Most of the expenses were one time setups for the server.
- We have a Dedicated server already.
- Teamspeak is up and we will be showing how to link TS accounts and Steam Accounts to the forums account.
- They don't show on your public profile, but both are needed for whitelisting and tags.
- Steam account will be used to show you are whitelisted on the server.
- Staff Team:
- Managers
- Responsible for everything.
- Some lead specific teams.
- Development
- Trial Developer (all developers are trial developers right now).
- Developer.
- Community Advisors
- Support/outreach role. They will be introducing people the the server and answering questions.
- They will be able to help with FAQ/common issues.
- They look at suggestions on the forums and forward them to the Admins/Devs.
- Administration
- Administrators - Player bans and reports.
- Moderators - Whitelisting and helping.
- It's best to message Community Advisors first if you have questions/issues.
- The Server time Period is 1899. The events of the Red Dead Redemption 2 story will not have happened.
- We are avoiding integrating any of the game story into the server.
## Development
- RedM is still very much pre-release.
- Most is broken or not working.
- Requires old files to even boot.
- Networking/MP doesn't work.
- No ETA as we don't know when RedM will be ready.
- Most developers have RedM working and are able to test/explore/create currently as much as is possible.
## Q/A Form
- How will long distance communication be handled?
- No Cell phones or Twitter.
- There will be chat messages for announcements and Admins messages, no in-game/in-character.
- We are exploring having Mail and Telegrams.
- Go and post to a recepient.
- Check your messages at the post office.
- May be different levels of postage to expediate the sending.
- It will not be instant.
- Will we be able to start a big company?
- From a roleplay standpoint you can do this as you wish.
- Dev Side: It's a cool suggestion.
- The priority right now is the fundamentals to run the server and play/roleplay.
- Down the line if mechanics need to be added for this as people feel limited, we can add them.
- Remember, RedM is a different platform with it's own challenges. Things are significantly different.
- We are weighing needs vs wants (like banking, character creation, VOIP etc as needs vs owning a business or house and advanced jobs as wants).
- We have limited resources and need the focus to be on fundamentals currently.
- Most businesses and the like can be roleplayed.
- What is the maximum numbers of players at launch and do we plan to have more in the future?
- RedM is currently limited to 32-slots.
- Onesync is slated for 2020 for RedM, which would support up to 128.
- We will run multiple 32-slot servers as needed.
- Will there be firearms/weapon customization?
- We are currently hunting "Natives" (functions in the base game that need to be found) to do this.
- There is a lot of investigating to leverage this.
- Firearm customization of some level is something we are exploring already.
- Are there means of incouraging RP even before the server releases?
- There are people playing Red Dead Online in the Discord/TS you can start a roleplay posse with and group up.
- There is a social IDs channel to find others in the community that play.
- The "Saloon" Discord voice channel is a good place to meet others.
- We may host some game nights in the future to bring some of the community together, but there are many people in the Discord.
- You can post and read Character Profiles on the forums.
- Will you be bringing on Writers/Artists to make contents/events?
- We have community members like Frank Devine creating systems and documents already.
## Government/Frank Devine
- Working on a Roleplay guide.
- It's 90% done currently.
- It'll help people new to Roleplay.
- There will be a Government of the server.
- An act brought all of the states together into one state.
- The states in the base game are now counties.
- Some will be govermentless/lawless.
- There will be a name for the new single State.
- There is a constitution.
- Election, appointment, impeachments of different positions and offices are covered in it.
- Almost completed.
- There will also be a Bill of Rights.
- There may be a RP system through the goverment for properties and businesses down the road.
- These things will be hammered out after the server is further along.
## Q/A
- Will there be crosshairs?
- We have discussed them as staff.
- Likely we will have to poll the community on this one.
- There are valid arguments from both sides.
- No concrete decisions have been made.
- If they are left in, we will restrict them to be less useful if possible (like not highlighting over enemies).
- Killing wild animals that attack you is very hard without a crosshair.
- Will there be Forced Permas?
- We have discussed this as staff.
- You will have the ability to make multiple characters.
- We are trying to make it so you have some slots that can't be forced perm'd for a few characters.
- Unsafe slots would then allow you to be hanged or whatnot.
- This system isn't fully decided on or fleshed out yet.
- If a person wanted to persue an in-server role, like a lawman, what kinds of systems would have to be put in place, and what kind of process would a player have to go through to be accepted?
- This is still something up to disussion.
- We have some ideas in the work and do want lawmen to be a thing.
- It will be different than in GTA communities.
- The general layout will likely be Sheriff and Deputies.
- We likely won't restrict roleplay, but will limit certain levels of actions.
- We want the system to grow organicly.
- Will you accommodate native american RP in some way? (For example fleshing out buildings or areas for them, custom clothing matching the culture etc)
- Adding custom items, buildings, etc are down the line quite a bit.
- Anything not currently in the game is really a waiting game to see what's possible with RedM.
- We are fine with Native American RP in general.
- Will the game focus on one state/city since we only got a limited slot of players for now?
- We do not plan on an area of roleplay.
- It's up to people to decide where they want to play.
- This is the Wild West, you will likely run into eachother often enough at hubs.
- Possing up and groups will help with that.
- We don't plan of restricting people to a city or town.
- Staff discussion has been had on changing what's available in different locations and prices to drive people together, but it's an open world and you can do as you like
- Will the bounty hunter system be incorporated alongside the lawman setup? How do you feel about Marshals?
- We plan on Sheriffs being able to put up bounties.
- We are not planning on Marshals.
- How and when Bounties happen is not decided currently.
- With bounty hunting, if there are no active player criminals with bounties, will NPC bounties be generated?
- That depends what is possible with RedM and what we can do with RedM in general.
- That's a cool suggestion and we will try to do similar jobs that are interesting such as this if possible.
- RedM has been very rapid, but is so broken right now that we can't give anything for sure on stuff like this.
- How closely will staff be working with the community in terms of ideas or content, outside of the discussions channel in Discord? What kind of feedback is welcome and what might be considered stepping on toes? If someone does want to volunteer, what is a respectful way to offer those kinds of ideas, or even art or graphics?
- If you have ideas/art, put them on the forums. There is general/suggestions where that could go.
- We are open to having RP storylines in the game.
- Feel free to reach out if you have cool ideas to pitch.
- Management will make decisions on what they want in the server.
- We are happy to take volunteered assets, but we aren't at that point currently.
- Will certain weapons be removed?
- No decisions have been made currently.
- Will you be retaining the camp system and item catalogue? What alterations do you have in mind for them? Will Posse's still function the same?
- Don't expect stuff from Red Dead Online to pull over.
- We are mostly making our own systems for inventory or stores as these things are not open to be used in RedM currently.
- We are looking at placeable camp items like campfires and sleepingbags.
- It won't be the camp system from RDO.
- For the judicial system: if a criminal gets captured and theres going to be a trial, will be there possibility for random players to be picked for Jury Duty?
- There's no concrete answer on this and depends on how this system grows.
- Likely not in the beginning, but as we grow we will try to bring community involvement to that system.
- For proffessions: If a player wants to play as a Snake Oil Salesman, does he has to reach the admins to get the shyster cart?
- No decisions have been made for professions currently.
- We want jobs to be available in the server and open opportunities that open up roleplay scenarios.
- Will there be modification to weapon damage for realism?
- No idea as of the current state of RedM.
- Is there any problems with joining the server with a pre-formed posse that has been roleplaying already in RDOnline?
- It's fine to come in together.
- Don't take much of the roleplay you've done online into the server.
- The Server time Period is 1899. The events of the Red Dead Redemption 2 story will not have happened.
- We are avoiding integrating any of the game story into the server.
- Will posse's be limited to a player cap?
- This is still under discussion.
- Will assets be changed like to have proper passenger trains instead of just the ones from Red Dead Online?
- With the state of RedM, we can't answer that.
- They may not even be networked in RedM.
- ![Emmett Stone for President](https://i.imgur.com/etWUjoc.png)
- No
- So, its possible to ask help from the admin community to create stories for the server (like say that there may be a treasure hidden in a grave a la Good Bad And Ugly)?
- We will take input from the community for events once we are live.
- We will have events to bring people together and have people meet eachothers.
- We don't want a really scripted storyline, but we want events that allow people to build connections within the community.
- Will you be keeping the temperature system?
- It is already in RedM.
- The plan is to keep it in.
- It may not be as strict as Single Player.
- We don't know how it will work currently, but the plan is to keep it in.
- How are controversial topics handled in the RP community? (Racial tensions for example)
- Read the rules and use your common sense.
- If a player donates money to help the server, do they have any advantages in game or not?
- That is not allowed and we wouldn'ty do it anyway.
- We thank our donators for helping to make the community and server the best it can be.
- As you can see by the finances, it's expensive to get things set up.
## Managers Final Words
- We need to thing about things we need vs things we want.
- All of the ideas discussed were good, valid and fun ideas.
- We need to set expectations.
- We need to create a framework from scratch (you spawn only as Artur in RedM currently).
- Don't be disheartened if your favorite thing isn't in when the server launches.
- Vote to name the new "one" state: https://wildwestrp.com/threads/name-of-the-state.255/
- There is no ETA for a release date as there isn't on on RedM.
- Link your Steam and Teamspeak to your Forum Account!

- We will drop sneak peaks as possible, just as we have been.
