- Lots of new Whitelisted members. - Amazing RP! - **This is all thanks to you!** ## Management (Section Lead By Mac Moody) - **Finances** - A Big thanks to anyone who contributes to keep us running and improving! - A lot of money has been spent improving the community, servers, services, and in-game features. - Around $350 per month goes to keeping our services up. - **We expected 64 slots to be all that were required.** - We currently have 265 slots that do fill up. - Thank you all for playing! ## Admin/Staff (Section Lead By Chris Solace) - **The staff is working very hard to help everyone as they throw in tickets and reports.** - Thank you for helping to keep the community clean and get clarification. - We've had 4k tickets. - 45 tickets per day on average! - **Congrats to Remy to becoming a Community Lead!** - **Player reports can sit for a while.** - They take an absurb amount of time to review, depending on the evidence. - We make sure at least 2 people look at every report to make sure the decisions are correct. - **If you have problems or questions with things or players, toss in a ticket.** - The best way to solve problems is to talk about them. - People won't get better if they don't know they did wrong! - **You can also just DM them if you know who they are and address it directly.** - **Whitelisting Applications** - 500-600 apps are in the WL rounds. - We open them every 2-3 weeks at the current rate. - Apps take ~15min to review on average. - The staff puts in tonnes of work and time to do these! - We have too many applications to keep them open. - We will never charge for apps or prio. - This is not a business. - We don't give monetary execption. - Only staff gets priority. ## Development Team (Section Lead By Mac Moody) - **New Developers Joined** - Trip Anderson - Josh Zimmerman - Emile Chaton - **What are we working on?** - We just came out of a Dev meeting chatting about stuff. - We don't give the list of what's being worked on and ETA as people will constantly ask when things are coming in. - Rushed Devs make mistakes. - Things happen that make projects slower to complete. - We do like giving hints in the Discord when we are near to releasing something (teasers). - **Business Update in the future** - **Development has been working very hard with an insane pace for months as we were bugfixing and pushing out QOL.** - Now we are focusing on improvements mainly and new features. - Patches are nearly weekly now with some small bugfixes here and there. - **There are a lot of suggestions.** - They aren't ignored, but we do have a roadmap of our own that is working on. - When putting in a suggestion you do have to keep in mind that the actual development time for something you think might be "easy" might actually take tens of hours. ## DOJ (Alexander McKinley [Attorney General]) - **Filling new positions.** - New DAs were hired. - New Paralegals were hired. - Still looking for prosecutors. ## Law Enforcement (Section Lead By Mac Moody [Chief of LSPD]) - **Threads have gone up discussing situations on the forums previously.** - These likely would have been better addressed in tickets with staff. - These were mostly miscommunication. - **Giving good RP gets good RP, from both sides.** - Respect your fellow players despite the characters being on opposite sides. - **Bodycam discussion.** - There may be a community discussion and vote in the future. - **Don't forget to be creative and have fun in situations with cops.** - Using police as mechanics isn't fun for everyone. - We don't want cops having to use helicopters because everyone uses strats involving boats and bikes. ## Medical (Section Lead By Maggie Martindale [Surgeon General] and Nikaela Parker [EMS Lieutenant]) - **If you attack the hospital, you can get banned from the hospital.** - They will still treat, but then kick you out. - **They are hiring!** - Including someone to work the pharmacy. - Doctors IC need medical degrees, but players don't have to. - **EMS and medical does their job based on the injuries you describe.** - Make sure to respond with your /me describing your injuries to get some good medical rp! - **Don't forget to RP your injuries!** ## Judiciary (Section Lead By Drake Paxton [Chief Justice]) - **Jury system coming soon.** - **You can do the bar exam and become a lawyer.** - **Cops offer bail so there is likely to be more trials coming up.** - **Judge apps just closed so keep an eye out in the future if you are interested in that.** ## Chamber of Commerce (Section Lead By Josh Zimmerman) - **Lots of new businesses have popped up!** - **Five new members have joined and are helping process everything.** - **Business Licenses are mostly caught up.** - **Premises are being worked on.** ## Public Works (Section Lead By Hudson Chesterfield) - **Lots of requests for business cards and businesses.** - Super backed up currently. - Remember that these are volunteers helping enhance RP, not rights. - **Interior and Renovation requests are closed currently.** - There are many in the queue. - If you have a request open, please be patient. - **"Public works is amazing." ~ Tye Flitwick** ## Spirited Solace Section (Chris Solace) - **RIP Gam Gam.** - **RP Workshops coming.** - Allows people to hear ideas and how others handle roleplay. - Helps new people get caught up with how roleplay works. - Gives new ideas for characters. - Makes people feel more comfortable. - **Will be announced soon.** - **Slow Burn RP.** - Don't forget that evolving characters and stories mean more than constant shootouts. ## Q/A Section - **Questions about AU/EU timezone missing LEO/Medical.** - If you want more, you can sign up too! - LEO is in the middle of a hiring. - **Are there plans to open up more hotels/motels?** - Hotels would have to be new, and would take off something we are working on currently. - Apartments handle this need. - **"Import Cars"?** - We are open to vanillaworks, but it is a lot of work. - High-poly forza models won't be added. - Car dealerships are on the dev list so this may be addressed further then. - **For minor injuries that down you, can they be treated on scene.** - That's not a thing right now, but before you "go down completely" the EMS can pick you up. - **Where is the NewDayRP economy heading and why has the value of so many jobs / items been reduced?** - They haven't been reduced, but there have been rebalancing. - If people get better a doing a single job and start doing it, that job is less valuable as there's no demand for the product. - If something is bugged and paying out more than intended, it will get balanced as well. - Increasing others to match just causes massive inflation where you pay millions for a car. - **Where there be more non-whitelisted jobs?** - Yes, but priorities in the Development Queue. - **Are there plans for a tactical/SWAT for LEO and Class 2s?** - Class 2s aren't opening available and we don't plan for them to be currently. - A tactical team isn't really needed currently. - **Wheelchair/Crutches.** - Not currently, maybe a wheelchair in the future but they are bug-city. - **Is corruption allowed in the PD?** - We don't let people fake charges, but beyond that it's in character. - **Risk/Reward balance for crims.** - Jewelery store was increased if you do the whole thing. - Weed is well worth it. - It's all about balance. - Increases to smaller crimes means chain robberies and other failRP that creates little RP in general. - **Crypto price change reduction?** - It changes by percents. - We made it less volatile, but you can still get unlucky. - We don't explain how it works, so it can't be exploited. - **Will bank trucks be added?** - They already exists. - Find out how to do them in character! - **Will you be possible to buy apartments instead of rent?** - No, hosues are for buying. - Jin Youngjae is amazing for creating and selling houses! - **Underglow and Headlights?** - In the dev pile under **eventually**. - **Fire Department?** - It's a certifiction process within EMS that is being worked on. - **What do you do if businesses aren't used that are purchased/licensed for?** - Reach out to the Chamber of Commerce IC. - **Abusing animal spawns to farm deer is not roleplay.** - This is FailRP via Powergaming. - **Any more melee weapons coming.** - Devs may do in the future. - **Cash as a physical items.** - Not in the plans but transfer items like "suitcases of cash" may in the future. - **Multiple player job updates to allow 2 people to do Go postal?** - Not planned currently, it would take a lot of time that could go into other new jobs that do. - **Change your last name?** - Judiciary form on the forum for a legal name change. - **Firearm cleaning?** - We have durability and repairs in gun stores. - **Are we going to have taxes?** - Keep an eye out IC, there's nothing currently. - **Will the Jugular be rebalanced?** - It aready was. - There was a bug that broke the handling and overwrote it. - It now handles closer to the price. - **Will we ever remove the locals and vehicles?** - No - **How many slots do we have?** - 265 currently. - **Any plans to add more liveries?** - Maybe for imported/added vehciles. - Default vehicles are default with their default liveries. - **Should we referr to tickets and reports as "The Government".** - No. The Government exists and "The Government Website" means forum information for the government. - **More expensive houses?** - In the future, when it's done. - Spanning the state was the priority. - **Plans for DOC?** - There are Future plans for more small departments like DOC and Park Rangers. - We need EU/AU numbers beefed up first. - **Why was the Pier Blockaded?** - Constant people driving vehicles down the Pier's Boardwalk and fishing lead to the City putting up barriers. - **What language do we use?** - LUA almost completely outside of NUI. - **Will there be any fix on falling light poles from nothing?** - That's some FiveM jank with states updating from things knocked down earlier to desync. - **Are there future plans to allow players to call 911/311/211 on their phones instead of using slash codes?** - It would always be busy, and nobody wants to answer phones 24/7. - We don't need Call Centre RP. - **Will the ladies gents makeup/hair issue be fixed soon?** - There may be some colour issues with lipstick. - Make sure you delete your outfits and resave when changing your face/hair as loading them with overwrite them. - **Pets?** - Not currently. - **Will there be a gang unit on LSPD/BCSO in the future?** - The Major Crimes Division exists and is a Joint Task force between LSPD and BCSO. - **Any way to avoid local cars that we have lockpicked dissapearing after 20ish minutes?** - If nobody is near a car it will disappear.
