# Introduction
- iPeriGrain is a software designed to delineate the perimeter of gravel grains in 2D images via interactive manner with assistance of marker controlled watershed segmentation.
- The parameters, listed below, of each grains are extracted by fitting ellipse to the delineated perimeters.
- a-axis
- b-axis
- center of grain
- rotation of a-axis
- Two kinds of 2D images are acceptable:
- Photograph taken by handheld camera at the gravel surface (.jpg)
