# 2.1 To process a new 2D image ### Step 1. Create a folder that will be used as a workspace. Users need to create a folder first to process a image with iPerigrain. ![](https://i.imgur.com/OhER7Xh.png) In this example, the folder name is "myWorkspace". Users can use appropriate names for their folders. ### Step 2. Click "Import Image" to select the 2D image to be processed. ![](https://i.imgur.com/m1GyCkf.png) After importing a image ![](https://i.imgur.com/x6U3UTn.png) - To navigate the image: - zoom in/out: rolling mouse wheel. - pans: holding down right mouse button and dragging. - Note: One workspace can only import one single 2D image. After importing, the import function will be locked. New workspaces are needed if more 2D images are to be processed.
