OG NFT Claim process for giveaway winners

MOST IMPORTANT DETAILS

INFORMATION

• THE FIRST WAVE OF NFTs HAVE BEEN AIRDROPPED
• 619 OG NFTs have been distributed to the winners of the OG NFT giveaways
• The NFTs will all look equal
• The IF did not plan any utility for the NFTs
• The audited Ledger Nano app is expected in the week of the 12th October (to be confirmed by the Ledger company)

WARNINGS

• Claim deadline in the Firefly Shimmer wallet is: 31 Dec 2025
• All unclaimed OG NFTs will be burned

Methods to get a Shimmer address

Download and install the desktop version of the Firefly Shimmer wallet at https://github.com/iotaledger/firefly/releases/tag/desktop-2.0.0
Please note that you need at least version 2.0.0 in order to claim the NFT.

Then you can chose one of these options:

A) Claim Shimmer rewards and generate address

You can use either your 24 words mnemonic, your Firefly Stronghold backup or your Ledger Nano S, S Plus or X device

• Choose to claim Shimmer staking rewards
• Firefly will guide you through claiming the tokens and set up a Shimmer profile
• After you have successfully claimed your Shimmer tokens, you are presented with a QR-code containing your Shimmer address (starts with smr). Click it to copy the address to the clipboard.
• Paste your Shimmer address in the form below (the format is smr1...)

B) Restore Shimmer profile

You can use either your 24 words mnemonic or your Ledger Nano S, S Plus or X device
Restoring a profile with an IOTA Stronghold is not possible at this point in time. You can still use the 24 word mnemonic backup connected to your actual Firefly wallet to restore the account.

• Firefly will guide you through restoring a Shimmer profile
• After you have successfully restored your Shimmer profile, you are presented with a QR-code containing your Shimmer address (starts with smr). Click it to copy the address to the clipboard.
• Paste your Shimmer address in the form below (the format is smr1...)

C) Set up a new profile

You can use either your 24 words mnemonic, your Firefly Stronghold backup or your Ledger Nano S, S Plus or X device

• Firefly will guide you through setting up a new Shimmer profile. During the process you will have to backup your recovery phrase, which will be different from your IOTA recovery phrase (24 word mnemonic seed). • After you have successfully set up your Shimmer profile, you are presented with a QR-code containing your Shimmer address (starts with smr). Click it to copy the address to the clipboard.
• Paste your Shimmer address in the form below (the format is smr1...)

Security information

Dyno third party service and the form submission

• Dyno, the service and third party company offering the form for the submission will store your information
• The form on Dyno will require you to login with your Discord account, this to make sure that only OF NFT winners can access the form and it will store your e-mail address
• We will receive a CSV (list) with your Discord username and the address you submit. If you would like to avoid sharing your main address with Dyno and us, make sure you create a new wallet in Firefly Shimmer first. You can do this by clicking on the Wallet on top and selecting Add a wallet

Ledger Nano wallet

• We are aware that the app on the Ledger Nano is available only in developer mode. Although it went through a first audit to be listed at all
• As shown before it is possible to generate an address without claiming SMR tokens even with the Shimmer ap in developer mode. The Firefly Shimmer application will derive the same addresses from the same seed, no matter the status of the Shimmer app on the Ledger device

It will ask you to login with your Discord account. Please make sure to use exactly the same Discour account you are logged in with.

How do I know the I got the NFT?

As of the writing of this document Firefly Shimmer does not have NFT support. NO ETA, but before the NFT claim end date 31st December 2025.

To verify if you got the NFT paste the address of the wallet you submitted in the Shimmer explorer here:

It will show the NFT as such in the Explorer
